There is a lot of wheat grown in the parkland. People export wheat, canola, and barley all around the world. Some people know that in the parkland has plenty of water and lots of rich soil here. Welcome to the Parkland region! This report will talk about where the region is located, what the climate is, resources and industries, vegetation, wildlife, occupation, and recreation. I hope you have a great time learning about the PARKLAND!

The parkland region has a variety of deciduous and coniferous trees, grasses, and flowers. Some kinds of trees are Aspen also called "white poplar" or "trembling Aspen" because the leaves tremble. The Balsam Poplar has brown bark. Some flowers growing here are Black-eyed Susans which have yellow flowers and black centers. White flowers are seen on the Saskatoon berry bushes. Some grass is tough because it can survive in the dry sandy soil of Parkland. Parkland has a variety of vegetation.

Recreation in the Parkland Region <br/><br/>There are many activities you can do in the Parkland region.  You can bird watch and see a lot of cool birds.  Next you can go canoeing in the big lake, and you can go winter exploring in the wintertime. I hope you enjoyed learning about the recreation you can do in the parkland.

Did you know there are many different occupations in the Parkland region.  First, the flat landscape has oil and gas wells across it. In fact, the discovery of oil was first found in Leduc, which is in the Parkland region. It was discovered on February 13th, 1947. Next, the Parkland is Alberta's richest agricultural region. It is not unusual to see hay bales, oil wells, and farmers grow their crops around them. I hope you want to get a job in the Parkland.
