People should care about life going on under water in the ocean because the ocean helps keep Earth alive. According to science, the ocean creates 50% of the Earth’s oxygen. The oceans also help provide fresh water for the Earth even though the ocean is salt water. The ocean also helps control the weather. All of these things are important for the Earth and humans to survive. If the ocean dies then we die.
People should care about life going on underwater because pollution from the ocean can kill the earth.There is a island called Trash Island where there is a lagoon that you can just throw your trash away in. It is sad to see all this trash dumped into a place that was a home for many animals. One plastic water bottle in that lagoon can last 450 to 1000 years!
All of that trash is polluting the ocean and that kills the sea life. Many people depend on the sea life to feed their families. Without the sea life, many people could starve.
