The company where I worked for the last 2 months is called 4 Service
Solution.
It is a company located in the small tonw of Affi (VR), right next to the Grand’Affi shopping centre.
4 Service Solution is a software house, so it doesn’t sell physical
materials, instead it makes software. In particular, software that involves
a scanner to digitalize physical documents and transfer them onto digital
machines to store them. The main customers are big companies,
such as banks or transport companies.

I usually woke up at 7 o’clock, had breakfast and got ready for work.
Around 7.45 I rode my scooter to get to the company. It usually took me
around 20 minutes to get there. When I arrived, I parked my motorbike and went up 4 floors to get to my little office. I started working on a
project where I needed to program software that could organize a bunch
of files and convert them into PDF documents. This was a project for a
company that needed to get project files containing old advertisements.
To make this software I needed to get every file and convert them into
PDF documents. Then, I collected them and put them back in the original folder with the original files.
At around 13 o’clock I took a lunch break, when I usually ate the lunch I had
brought from home. Even other employees usually started having lunch
at that time and while eating we talked about everything, from our
current work, to what we had done in the weekend. It usually took me
around 30 minutes of break to eat my lunch, then I got back to work.
In the afternoon I usually kept programming the software I was making in
the morning. I usually finished working around 17 o’clock, so I left my
little office and started walking towards my bike. After around 20 minutes
of driving I was home.
Working at this company helped me learn a new programming language
(C++) and few more algorithms: I needed to use a different approach to
the problem, so i needed a different algorithm to make my program.

The time I spend working for this company helped me get a good
idea about the type of work that I want to do. I was really satisfied about
my internship experience!
I got on very well with the manager of the company and now we are good
friends.
