What it means to be a Monarch

These are some great examples they're play clue on play day

Every often, we have a special day like play day in play day we do a bunch of games.

S stands for Safe! 	Some examples are... <ul><li>Looking straight while walking in the hallway</li><li>Following the person ahead of you in the hallway</li><li>Listen most importantly to your teacher when fire drills, Alice drills, or other drills are going on etc.</li></ul>

E stands for Empathetic 	Some examples are... <ul><li>Cheering someone up who is on the buddy bench and understanding them</li><li>Understanding someone else's point of view during an argument</li><li>Listening to people without interrupting them etc.</li></ul>

On the night of Multicultral day these Taiko drummers where playing great body percussion music in our school

Here you can see a kid representing thier country Peru, he is having a great time. This is one thing our school does

As you can see in this picture these lovely kids and parents are reprisenting Canada 🇨🇦

Treat Trail

In Shale Meadows we do something called Treat Trail. Its where you go on a trail where you collect treats.

This is our wonderful special team dressed up as the Pirate crew group

This is our specials team dressed up as Alice and wonderland in 2021-2022

Friends

As you can see there are some of the kids together drawing with chalk and talking with there friends.

Here you can see friends together playing games and having a fun time with each other.

As you can see kids are running together with there friends and are making new friends together on one of shale meadows fundraisers called the fun run.

Our school acronym is RISE! All of these letters represent something important. This slide talks about the first two letters. R and I.

R stands for RESPONSIBILITY! 	Some Examples are... <ul><li>Owning up to your mistakes</li><li>Respecting people's boundaries</li><li>Staying on task and etc.</li></ul>

I stands for Inclusive! 	Some examples are... <ul><li>Including somebody to play with during you recess</li><li>Including somebody to work with you</li><li>Including somebody to join you etc.</li></ul>

Staff

Here are staff dressed up as some of the Mario characters for one of  Shale Meadows treat trail.

Here you can see most of the teachers dressed up for a holiday on one of our spirit days.

As you can see there are some of the  fifth grade  teachers dressed up on the spirt day dress like you are in a decade. 

Also here are the fifth grade teachers dressed like the Wizard of Oz  with a student.
