The History of Gymnastics at the Olympics

In 1984 Rhythmic gymnastics was added as an event when the games were held in Los Angeles.

At the Sydney games in the year 2000, Trampolining was added as an event.

Gymnastics is one of the oldest sports to be included in the Olympic Games. 

Men competed in Artistic gymnastics at the first Olympic Games in Athens in 1896.

In 1928 women began competing in Artistic gymnastics events at the Amsterdam games.

In Trampolining, gymnasts perform acrobatics while jumping on a trampoline.
