This magazine is the final product of one of the many activities belonging to the Erasmus+ project "Don't wait to see the destruction". In Don't wait to see the destruction there are six partner schools involved: - Cēsu 1. pamatskola - INS Cassà de la Selva - I.C. G. Each page belongs to an activity and in each page you are going to be able to learn about the activities, their objectives and the impressions of teachers and students who took part in all these activities.

At midday, they went to Empuriabrava to have lunch and spend some freetime at the beach. Empuriabrava was chosen because it is a destination famous for its channels and beautiful promenade. Students and teachers had two hours of freetime to explore this unique village before going back to Cassà de la Selva where the farewell dinner was being set up.

About the farewell dinner, which was at the school, there's too much to say... and as the proberb: it's better an image than thousand words... So there you go!!

The Education Councilwoman of the townhall, the headmaster of the school and all the members of the Erasmus+ comission attended the dinner.

Description: Using the waste materials, the students created birds nests and they also put some seeds in them to feed the animals.

Elanur DENİZ - Turkish student: " I really felt good as I recycled and created something useful for the animals. The activities of the project makes feel relaxed after tirig classes. I hope I can do similar activites in the future to help the animals and help my environment. My sister and my mother also helped me to collect the materials to create the nests"

Description: &nbsp;December 10th 2020,&nbsp;after our project meeting that all teachers have online, every team prepared a task for students' ice breakers&nbsp;using Padlet and exchanging New Year's cards. Two schools (Latvia &amp; Spain, Portugal &amp; Turkey, Italy &amp; Macedonia) will get in touch and decide methodology; whether they will do it digital only or digitally and analogically. New task - creating New Year greetings with elements of getting to know our culture were prepered and greeting cards were emailed and attached to the padlet, to each school email and to E-twinning

Description: March 2023, a debate on climate change was held between the classes and between all partners. the conclusions were entered on the last day of the mobility (30th of March 2023) in a presentation about climate change. Also we prepared a video of our common debate and the making of posters.

To see if they are tracked, they feel the shell of the turtle with the fingers to see if there are smal scratches. If there are, it means that the tourtle had already been analysed and then they write down their number by the scratches they have in the shell and write down some notes such as size and weight. If there are no scratches, they need to mark them with a manual saw. To do it they follow a pattern in which according to the number of scratches in each part they have a number from 0000 to 4444. It is a simple way to mark the species and track them. Apart from this activity, students also learnt about the autochthonous animals that live in wetlands and they could write down their new knowledge in a portfolio that was given to them.

Curiosity: We could see a Bugs Hotel similar to the one we built the previous day.

Thursday 22nd: Although students had enough hours to sleep, there was no room for hangovers on Thursday morning: The last learning activity of the mobility was scheduled at 10.30am in Sils. The activity was lead by Emys Foundation which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of nature, especially wetlands and the pond turtle (Emys orbicularis). Emys Foundation organizes research, management, conservation, education and awareness to help local actors to make sustainable management of the territory. In Sils, we went to the wetlands to do a practical activity that had to do with the conservation of the autochthonous turtle. The previous day, members of the foundation went to put some traps for turtle inside the channels of the wetlands so that we could take them out of the water the next day and see what was inside. So, on Thursday when students arrived the instructors introduced their work to students and then all together went to check the traps. To do it, the group was divided in two and each one had four traps to check. In the first traps there were neither turtles nor fish but luckily we could find three traps with turtles. After removing the traps with turtles and fish, the first thing we had to do was to release fish back to water otherwise they would die. With the fish in the water, it was time to analise turtles. When analising a turtle, the first step is to identify which species it belongs to. What they explained was that you have to check meaningful details such as spots of different colours, the shape of the shell, the head or the tail. Once the specimen is identified, if it is an invasive specie it has to be kept and bring it to a place where they study them after sacrificing them. But if it is a non invasive specie they have to check if they are already tracked.

Description: As a workshop activity, wind energy-themed ceramic works were carried out in the Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Provincial Directorate building, and all our students were given a bicycle tour in the botanical park and visited the Bursa Energy museum in order to emphasize the importance of energy saving.

Description: Because of the pandemic, as there were restrictions in some countries, we sent our new year postcards via emails. Our students used webtools such as Canva to prepare the postcards to send to their partners.

Larissa - Spanish student: "This opportunity has been one of my best experiences! I had to go to Italy (Sicily). The people were super nice and I made many friends from different countries, the activities were very fun and I must say that Sicily is a beautiful place with many beautiful sides to visit, the activity that I liked the most was going to the Etna volcano, but without a doubt, The best were the friends with whom I still talk on WhatsApp and Instagram."

Maria - Spanish student: "I went on mobility in Italy specifically in Agira, Sicily. There with my colleagues we met people and made friends.&nbsp;We did different activities such as going to Etna or visiting the town of Agira which was very beautiful and going to see the sunset from the castle. But we will not forget the food in Italy which was very good and the people we met."

Tuesday 20th: The day started at 8:30 in Riudellots de la Selva, a village near Cassà de la Selva because there are some students at INS Cassà who live there. We met at a park by the train station and we did a Gymkana about invasive species in which students had to find flashcards about invasive species and then write down the dangers of their presence in our ecosystem and how they were introduced. This activity helped us to reflect about the impact of humans in relation to the introduction of foreign species. After the activity, students and teachers had a fast breakfast prepared by hosting students because Fundació MONA was waiting for them. At Fundació MONA, an educator explained us about the Foundation and animals they have with the help of a video and then they showed us the primates they have there and the facilities they created for them to have a safe and "wild" place to be. Fundació MONA was chosen because it is a rehabilitation center where abused chimpanzees and macaques are recovering from their previous lives as circus artists, television actors, and even pets. Many of them spent years living in solitude under terrifying inhumane conditions. MONA gives these primates a second chance at a life free of pain and abuse and provides their primates a curative, nurturing, and restorative environment in a group of their own kind within a spacious and natural installation. Workers at Fundació MONA strive to give them the type of life they should have had in the wild, giving them back their dignity they so much deserve. This visit also increased awareness of students in relation to mass media and big companies who use animals for their commercial spots. Also to know how to proceed when they notice similar cases with other animals. These two activities were very interesting for students and they rated it really well.

Curiosity: Everyone had to wear masks because human illnesses can be transmitted to primates.

"Give a second life to things" - creative workshops were organized and led by the students. There were several workshops in different classrooms all around the school. At each workshop there were students responsible for activities. Students folded different types of decorations from old books, made things from old T-shirts, flower pots, cartoon characters etc. Later the works were exhibited in Erasmus corner. 

Žanna Latvian Student: "I made a Chanel bag out of a paper bag and fabric lace and marked it with felt tip pen. The result was very beautiful and it can be used everyday. These workshops were very cool and it gave me the impression that I can give things a second life!"

In the second part, after the mobility, students shared photos with their pets to share their love for animals.

Description: Danger for animals was an activity that consisted of three parts. First part which was held during the mobility in Spain consisted in, in pairs, make a presentation about endangered animals in each country. They prepared it at home and in Spain they did the expositions.

And finally they created slogans to encourage people to treat animals better.

Ieva and Liga - Teachers from Latvia: "We couldn't hold back our excitement when going to Lisbon on our first Erasmus+ mobility ever. It was a great pleasure to meet all the colleagues we had worked with since the beginning of the project. The whole new experience going abroad with students and lot of things learned during the trip."

Furthermore, each group brought 100 gr sifted topsoil from its own country to build “the European hill”… Everybody got dirty to paint and knead the earth, but it was really funny and the result was great!

We played, danced, ate and joked a lot. After lunch we went for a walk to Piano della Corte Nature Reserve. This protected area hosts the Dittaino River Valley, the famous black poplar called “monument tree” for its size and longevity, white poplars, elms and animals like bee-eaters, long tailed tits and painted frogs. That walk was the last thing before the farewell party started with the award of our attendance certificates. What a pity that our partners were going to leave on the next day… just when the kids started to speak a better English!

Every team has prepared a presentation - traditional crops, their growing conditions and products. On the first day, everyone was shy. It was just the beginning. We all gathered in one of the classes, and each country presented different kinds of their national plants/food. We learned how and when they plant, how the herbs grow, and&nbsp; what foods are made out of their plants. Each country had interesting presentations with some plants that other countries don't grow at all. Afterward, everyone started talking, and friendships started to form.

Description: A group of few students from one class perpared a presentation about our country (Spain) to share with their partners in the other five countries. The aim of this presentations is to explain some facts about our country regarding geography, food, culture, lenguage, popullation, and so on.

Also, In September 2022 the kids from Agira couldn’t wait to partecipate in the mobility to Spain. They prepared several works for the Erasmus corner such as drawing the symbols of Spain, searching on the net information about its culture and population. They borrowed geography books to know places and relationships between Spanish people and their environment. They found similarities and differences in the climate and population regarding their own country. They took some coloured sheets from the art classroom and let their imagination run. The kids drew what they thought was typical Spanish and didn’t dwell only on multimedia information, but went further to embellish their Erasmus corner.

Description: Students prepared slogans about enviroment and worked on insulating materials to see how we can save energy while heating our homes.

The first mobility of our project took place in Portugal.

Agrupamento de Escolas de Vialonga, in the outskirts of Lisbon, was the first hosting school and everybody was feeling very excited and nervous as it was the first meeting after such hard times we all have lived - Covid time. No matter some restrictions still happening everything was prepared according to the main subject of the meeting "LET'S SAVE WATER". Being Portugal a country with many wonderful places by the coast, from the north to the south west part it was somehow difficult to choose the best spots. But the Portuguese team made a great choice and was able to share with the project partners not only some beautiful landscapes but also some cultural traditions and ways of protecting water and life for all beings.

Cēsu 1. pamatskola / Cesis Elementary School No1 is composed of 409 students from 1st to 9th grade, which means that their ages are 7-16 years old. It is also the oldest school in Cēsis, founded in 1626 and the only elementary school with in-depth music teaching in Cēsis county. Cēsu 1. pamatskola is a basic school with additional music programme. Every student learns music theory, sings in choir and plays a musical instrument (piano, accordion, saxaphone, flute, violin etc.). The school has rich history and traditions. Mobility in Latvia was concluded with rich experience and new knowledge about use of natural resources, focusing on things that we can all start to do - take care of land, soil, environment, water and other natural resources for the future generations. If even one person puts his hand in saving environmental resources, then we conclude that the project is evaluated with a positive feature. Students from Latvia and partner countries recognized that the experience gained in Latvia and other mobilities will give a new perspective on environmental issues in their everyday life. Young people are ready to talk and solve topical issues of environmental impact, both locally and internationally. We thank the teachers of Cēsu 1. pamatskola who were involved in the project for the work they put in, students, their parents, who together created an unforgettable mobility week in Latvia. International cooperation partners recognized that Latvia's mobility was very valuable and full of useful information.

Arnau - Spanish Student: "The activity of drawing a world without water was a bit difficult because you had to have a lot of imagination and be creative to think of making a good drawing and be able to win the prize for the best drawing, I thought the activity was very fun since the Water is fundamental in this world and thinking about a world without water is something that is very difficult to imagine."

Kids had great fun on Sunday 14th May climbing on Mount Etna, one of the tallest active volcanoes in Europe.

After lunch (and some socialization activities in a park!) the groups discovered one of the finest examples of Roman villas in the world, "Villa Romana del Casale" with its splendid mosaics.

After the ceremony there was a breakfast in the backyard of the theater. Right after breakfast everybody went to the school building where hosting students showed the school to teachers and students from other schools. This was before lunch at the school canteen and the remaining time between the visit and lunch students played some games to know each other.

In the afterenoon two cultural activities were organised. A visit to Parramon Exportap SL, a cork factory, and a visit to the city of Girona. These activities were organised because cork is one of the main industries of Cassà de la Selva and Girona is one of the capitals of Catalonia and a very touristic spot for its appearance in Game of Thrones and for its beautiful spots such as the cathedral, the Eiffel bridge and the houses of river Onyar.

Description: Students created some nests for birds as an activity of the project Don't Wait to See the Destruction. They learned the importance for birds to have these nests in cities and urbanised places while learning useful skills for different professions. When all the bird houses were ready, students divided in groups went to different places of the town to hang them. They located the places in an app and now we're going to do the maintainance so birds keep using them for years. It was an enjoyable activity for the students!

This activity was possible thanks to the subject of Technology in which students are able to use tools for different materials. In this case wood.

Martí - Spanish Student: "The activity of nests and houses and animal projects was very entertaining&nbsp;and not so difficult. In this activity we had to do a birdhouse for the birds. The relation of this task between the Erasmus project is that we have to preserve our fauna, care about it and give a place to live to it."

Description: Our students researched in groups how to keep the Earth green. For that, they created a idea tree

Description: Another activity of the project was making groupworks about why we should have a green earth and how we benefit from all the plants and forest. To do this activity teachers prepared some materials for students to learn many of the benefits of plants, trees and forests. With these materials, students were divided into small groups and they had to understand the content. After that, they discussed with the group what they understood and they created idea trees with to make it more visual and easy to understand. These mind maps are displayed not only on the Erasmus Corner, but also in all the classrooms.

INS CASSÀ DE LA SELVA (CASSÀ DE LA SELVA, SPAIN)

Located in a small town near Girona (Catalonia), INS Cassà de la Selva is a public highschool that educates teenagers aged between 11 and 18 years old. Over 700 teenagers are registered as students divided into two different education levels: ESO and Batxillerat. Whereas in ESO, which stands for Mandatory Secundary Education, there are four grades with an average of 120 students per grade, in Batxillerat there are two grades of 100 hundred students. Don't Wait to See the Destruction is being implemented by students who in 2020 were on first grade. Now, three years later, most of the students who started the project are on third grade and still carring it on. This year, 2022, there are 125 students from five different groups enrolled in the project. Although this is the first Erasmus+ project for these students, our school has been involved in other Erasmus+ projects for some years. The involvement of the school with Erasmus is possible thanks to the management team and a group of voluntary teachers who form the INS Cassà Erasmus Comission. Nowadays, this comission is made up by 6 teachers who are motivated by the project.

Description: Students started creating a forest of mixed trees: fruit-bearing, evergreen and deciduous. First, they planted 5 trees in the school yard - 3 fruit trees and 1 pine and 1 spruce. The seedlings were prepared by the students of the fourth grade (Оctober/November 2021). The five trees were bought and planted on November 12, 2021. &nbsp;

Imma - English Teacher at INS Cassà: "Every time we do a different activity from the ones that we are used to there is a big uncertainty about how it is going to go. In this case students worked very well; they read the content and then created their idea tree in groups. Some groups were very creative, just check the results"

Then we went to Bread house in Liepa, where we were warmly welcomed. We were divided into two groups. While one group made buns inside, the other group made Latvian ornaments from grains and explained their meaning. After that, the groups changed. After the activities we went inside, where the tables were set with a delicious meal and the buns. Each country sang a popular song of their country.

Paula - Spanish student: "I have traveled to Latvia and I think it was a very good experience. The thing that I liked the most was meeting the people from there and from the other countries. I think that the activities were very interesting and organized.I think that Latvia is very different from Spain but it’s so beautiful. I love the side and the colors of the buildings but I don’t like so much the traditional food from there."

Description: In 2019, INS Cassà organised an orienteering race to make students conscious about the importance of forests, not only for the nature but also as a profitable place where to do healthy activities in our free time. Cassà is surrounded by different forests and the main industry comes from cork trees. So in Cassà de la Selva forests are very important and we shoud take care of them even more.

Description: On the 13th, 14th and 15th of October 2022 the Erasmus Days were celebrated around Europe. To celebrate these days, in our School we encouraged students to interview different people who have participated in different Erasmus. Here's the folder with the interviews.

Maria G. - Spanish Student: "We did an orienteering race that consisted in finding ribbons of different colors around a forest in Cassà. We were in groups and they gave us a map for each group and we had to find them all before the other groups. We started in the Can Matabous house and we finished there. It was an Erasmus activity&nbsp;because we learned to respect, empathize and learn more about nature. We learned to agree and work as a team with partners too."

Emma O. - Spanish Student: "We did an interview with fellow students who had already been to Erasmus mobility. We asked some questions about it and understood their experience better. At first it was a bit difficult because the interview had to be&nbsp; in English and I had to get the pronunciation right, so it took a couple tries, but I think it came out nicely."

At 12.30pm both activities were over and it was time to go to have lunch. The lunch was set up at the Townhall of the village, a building that was 20 minutes away from the foundation on foot. To go to the Townhall we chose a walking path that goes by the river and it was a nice walk with nice temperature. Once at the Townhall students and teachers rested a little bit and had a healthy lunch made by local potatoes and vegetables, a Russian salad.

At 3:00pm, with our stomachs full, it was time for the last learning activity of the day: the building of a Bug Hotel. Also known as a hotel for insects, the Bug Hotel is a manmade structure created to provide shelter for&nbsp;insects. They can come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on the specific purpose or specific insect to cater for. Most of them consist of several different sections that provide insects with nesting facilities – particularly during winter, offering shelter or refuge for many types of insects. Their purposes include hosting&nbsp;pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

With the Bug Hotel built, it was time for fun. And what's funnier than going to the beach in September? That's what they did! And with families!

Description: One of the most creative activities in the project consisted in organising workshops in which artworks would be created using seeds and some small vegetables. To do this activity, schools had to encourage Art teachers to adapt their curriculum and include this activity in their year program. These artworks could be created in pairs, small groups or individually according to the motivation and skills of each student. The procedure was easy: students first had to do the drawing in pencil and after that paste the different materials on the paper making it match with the drawing. They had to choose different sizes and colours to make everything look great.

Mia - Spanish Student: "This activity has been one of my favorites in groups of 4 people we made a collage with all kinds of seeds it was a lot of fun and I learned how to make a colaix."

In the following pages the different works and products of the project are going to be displayed. You will have the chance to learn about the objectives and procedures to develop each activity and check pictures about students and the results. In each activity there is a comment of a student talking about their experience. Activities "P" are mandatory project events and activities "INS" are extra events that each school designed in order to follow the same aims of the project.

Description: In September 2020, all the partners had an online meeting to distribute the tasks and roles of each one and to decide the next time to meet. In the same meeting, eTwinning of the project was set up and the new members were invited to the project. The aim of these actions were to multiply the effects and impact of the project and to disseminate the project. All the schools agreeded to share the activities and results in their blogs and websites (native language) and decided to create a common website of the project to share the same information in English.

Albert - INS Cassà Coordinator: "This was my first meeting as the coordinator of the project of our school and I was quite nervous. Fortunately, once I had introduced myself to the partner teachers, their kindness made all the nerves vanish and we could start moving on the tasks easily. I could tell that some teachers had much experience in this type of projects."

Description: In the project there is an activity that consists of parents and students taking care of the garden that students started at each school. They should have done it during summer holidays but unfortunately schools are closed during this period of time. As an alternative, teachers asked students and parents to water the trees planted in June to reduce the ecological footprint. It was a difficult task to do because of the holidays and very few students and families went to water the trees.

Description: The same summer, students were asked to take photos of the natural beauties of the places they had visited during their summer holidays. A task was created on the Google Classroom of one subject and all the pictures were uploaded during the first month of the school year. An average of one hundred photos were uploaded for each school.

Larissa - Spanish Student: "Before summer we went on a little field trip next door to the high school to plant a tree for each class. During the summer we took care of them, now they are still there and they have grown. It was fun! (but you have to admit it was quite hot). I helped to plant it and during summer I went a couple of times to water it."

Nature walk in Ērgļu Cliffs

After a traditional Latvian meal, we went for a walk in the Eagle Cliffs, where everyone could enjoy the value of nature and the calmness of the Gauja river.

At the end of the day, all mobility participants were invited to a dinner, where project certificates were given, closing speeches were made and young people introduced everyone with the traditional songs and dances of their country.

Description: In October 2020, due to different weather conditions and different conditions according to the pandemic, in our school we started preparing our school garden and it lasted until spring 2023. We started preparing the seeds which were parsley seeds, rosemary, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, basil, beans and flower seeds.

Jana Todorova - Student from North Macedonia: "The activities in the garden are still ongoing: we plant, maintain, collect fruits from our garden. We will eat our healthy sandwich with tomatoes and basil from our garden in the middle of June."

Sunday 18th: Arrival of teachers and students from the partner schools.

Monday 19th: At 9:30 the partners arrived at the Theater of Cassà from Girona where they were staying to start with the welcome ceremony which consisted of two parts: The first part with the speech of Robert Mundet (Major of the town), Josep Poch (Headmaster of INS Cassà), and Albert Viñets (Erasmus coordinator of INS Cassà). And also the introduction of all the participants in the mobility.

The second part with the presentations of endangered animals of each country. An activity of the project in which students had to search information about the dangers that animals are facing. Then, they prepared a presentation in groups about some of the endangered animals of their country and think about possible solutions to save them. During this ceremony, students presented their work and they were asked questions by their peers from other schools.

Description: The week before the first mobility of the project students from all the schools learned about the culture, food, geography and population of Portugal. To earn this knowledge they prepared posters in gropus and then every group explained their posters to their classmates. After that, posters were hung on the Erasmus corner.&nbsp;

This was the very last activity before the first mobility of the project and students - mainly the ones who were travelling - were really excited about this activity because they found it useful for when they would be in Vialonga (Portugal). Then they would know some cultural facts about the students they would meet in a couple of weeks. They would know the traditional food they should try during their stay and some useful words to say while interacting with Portuguese people.

Izzy - Spanish Student: "We made a poster, in groups, where we wrote about the culture, geography, food, the language and important people and places in Portugal. After making the poster we presented it in front of the class and shared what we’d learned. I thought this was a good activity to do before going to Portugal because we learned a bit about the country before going to it and it was fun to make."

Description: In May 2023, in the coordinators meeting in Latvia it was agreed to publish the Newspaper of the project to announce the end of the mobilities and ask students for evaluations. The newspaper was created in collaboration with all partners using Canva and once it was finished it was distributed to all the participants that have participated in the project activities and mobilities. Students were surprised to receive the newspaper. Check out the newspaper on the following page and the forms of the final evaluation below.

. Vila Franca de Xira City Museum . "Marechal Carmona" bridge - an exhibition celebrating its 70th anniversary and its importance for the development of the area.

Description: In March 2023, before mobility in North Macedonia, students from this country created a padlet for their activity "Environmental pollution". They researched environmental pollution and put their thoughts and posters on the shared <a href="https://padlet.com/tretotrinastavnicki/Environmental-pollution-rp87m7u29z44e41t">padlet</a>:

Description: One of the first activities of the project was going out to do environmental cleaning (plogging). It was in 2020 and first students did the activity with their classmates during school time. After the activity, teachers encouraged students to do it in their spare time with families and friends. Some students did this activity and they earned extra points for the mobility selection.

The rest of students also know that environmental pollution nowadays is trending topic. That's why when they read a piece of news in any local newspaper they directly uploaded the news on a padlet where we collected all these news.&nbsp; This helped to encourage partner schools to share the news they found too and be able to talk about them when we met in North Macedonia. Marcel - Spanish Student: "In the 1st year of secondary school I did a voluntary activity individually which consisted in going for a walk in the forest or other natural places, picking up rubbish from the ground and recycling it. However, this activity can also be done with groups, with friends, with the family or in the community as in the case of the "brigada selebret" that takes place in Riudellots de la Selva. Doing this activity I saw the huge amounts of rubbish that people throw in natural places. Also, the importance of recycling. Thanks to this activity and other activities I earned points and now I am able to go to the next mobility in North Macedonia.

Description: Because of pandemic, we stayed at home, but we still continued to work. Our students created wordart to celebrate Earth Hour. At the same time, they were able to improve their digital skills.

Description: In 2022, for Earth day, we went out with other schools as well to plant trees.

Ali Eren Koçak - Turkish Student: "It was a unique experience for me. The art work was very enjoyable and creative. I will keep the ceramic mug on which we illustrated a windmill. It was the first time we were together with European partners."

Description: In October 2020, INS Cassà de la Selva engaged its 1st graders aged 12 years old to design a logo according to the essentials of Don't wait to see the destruction Erasmus+ KA2 project. Students were offered the chance to use a digital tool Canva but were allowed to draw and paint, too. The teacher responsible for leading this activity was Laia Suñé who's the Art teacher at school. The learning process is described <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/13EUTAdHN5sLf8J1BWyCIYe8-o5i8CJVnnfko5yfBMkI/edit?usp=sharing">here</a>. As you can see on the left, 107 students out of 121 took part in the voting through a GForms and the most voted logo was considered to be the one from our school INS Cassà de la Selva. The author of the logo told us about her piece of art in a recording you can watch by clicking on the video.

All the partner schools did the same and after that the winning logo had to be chosen so that it would be the logo of the project until the last day. Students were trully involved in this task and really beautiful artworks were created.

Elma - Spanish Student: "It was a little bit difficult to do it. I was hesitating if it was better to do it digitally or handmade and I finally chose the traditional way. The relation between my work and the Erasmus project is that the silhouette stands for people and the leaves for natural things, they are connected because both sides can be friends."

Description: To learn about our traditional seeds, students created artworks by seeds. While learning, they had fun at the same time and improved their art skills.

When the activity was over, everyone went back to school by bus and had lunch there. The lunch on Thursday was the last meal that they did all together and after that all the participants in the mobility except hosts went back to the hotel to do the check out. Some of them went to visit Barcelona as they could not do it before. To sum up, it was an awesome experience for teachers and students in which everyone learnt a lot, not only about Saving Animals but also about the Catalan culture.

If we could we would go there again."

The third mobility of Don't Wait to See the Destruction was host in Cassà de la Selva, a small town near Girona, during the 4th week of September. The topic of the mobility was Let's Save the Animals. Description: All the students went into the nature to take photos of the nature in Spring. After voting online, we chose the best two photos to represent the two months of the year. Each school chose two photos for our common eco-calendar.

Description: Activity 26 of the project Don't Wait to See the Destruction" consists in holding a school breakfast using eco products and products that the students have grown themselves in their gardens. The aim of this activity is to help students realize one more time how kind nature is towards us. During the mobility in Spain, host students had the responsability to prepare the breakfast for a peer student. They had to prepare a healthy breakfast using eco products for the second day of the mobility. It was also an excuse to help students interact between each other.

Adrià - Spanish Student: "Hello, my name is Adrià and I took part in the Erasmus+ healthy breakfast activity, in my case I brought an orange drink and an apple, which I gave to Ana from Latvia and she gave me a bar of chocolate from his country as a thank you, it was very good. We thought that activity was quite funny because the day before you had to ask the person what they liked, to bring it the next day, each person had different tastes."

Izzy - Spanish student: "My experience in Portugal was a very good one and I loved meeting new people and learning about their culture and country. I also liked exploring a new city with my friends and learned a lot. Although it wasn’t perfect and I was a bit nervous about meeting the other students before I met them. And I also found it quite sad to leave people I'd just met and made friends with. Despite all that I overall had a really good time and I’m really grateful I got to experience it."

The fifht mobility of Don't Wait to See the Destruction was host in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, during the 4th week of September from the 27th of March 2023 to 30th of March 2023. The topic of the mobility was Environmental Pollution. Nuria - Spanish student: "I was one of the five people that went to Portugal, and I'm so proud of spending one week there. I had so much fun and I also improved&nbsp;my english. Also the activities that we did were exciting and I'm so lucky&nbsp;to could talk with people that aren't from my country and have different cultures."

Ilda Carinhas:"We all ended up very happy for having had the opportunity to live such an unexpectable week full of sharing, new experiences, laughter and hope for a better world to live in. It is our responsibility to make it happen and help students to spread this message."

Description: In English class students, individually, wrote a letter to the future about the Earth they will live and how they imagine it is goint to be like. We used the English subject to make all students do this activity. That's why it was a mandatory writing from which the future grammar was assessed. We're happy with the results because studetns showed knowladge about deforestation, air pollution, natural resources and other content that they acquired thanks to the project. Monday 27.3.2023 After the warm welcoming to the participants in the school, a workshop was organized- for students (to get to know each other). We had lunch together at school and went to visit and research the process for obtaining biodiesel at the Makpetrol factory, in the vicinity of Skopje.

Welcoming ceremony and activities at school

The project welcoming ceremony was opened with a small concert and an insight into our school. The school brass band played and the school choir sang at the concert. The school headteacher gave the opening speech and the students who had visited the project's mobilities shared their impressions of what they experienced during the project's activities. Then guests had a little tour around the school led by the students involved in the project. They showed classrooms, told a brief history and specifics of the school - all students of our school learn music, play musical instruments and sing in the choir. After the tour, everyone took part in ice breaking and team building activities.

Elementary school "Petar Pop Arsov" in Skopje was founded in 1972. The school has 28 classes. Students are from 6 to 14 years (about 650 students). This school is a primary school, a healthy, educational and entertaining institution where students, as the center of interest of the entire school staff, are upgraded with a variety of knowledge, skills and attitudes.In terms of interests and activities,we have many years of experience working on E-twinning and Erasmus + projects (15 projects in this moment) in different area. Our school has 54 employees.

Description: The 5th mobility of the project took place in Skopje March 2023, and during the first day of the mobility students and teachers did a very interesting visit to a biodiesel factory. In the factory they learnt about the process of obtaining energy from the oil that plants have. During the visit an engineer explained in detail the different stages from the plants until the final product. After the mobility, when students and teachers came back to schools, they explained their experience and the process of producing biodiesel from grass and plant oil to their peers.

Description: 2023 Started with a brand new calendar, a calendar made of the pictures that our students took during their holidays. Students were asked to take pictures of the different places they had visited in 2022 during their summer and winter holidays. They had to upload them on the Google Classroom of Physical Education. After the deadline, pictures were classified according to the season or month they represented. Then, a contest was held using Google Forms (the same way we did for the eco-calendar) and a winner for each month was chosen. With the pictures chosen, Albert brought them together in the same document and this is the final result:

Albert V. - Spanish Teacher: "Designing a calendar is not a difficult activity but when it implies so many students it gets complicated. When we started asking for the pictures our students replied fast and uploaded so many photos. It was great news but then we had to classify them according to the month they represented and ask all the students and teachers from our schools to answer the forms. The whole process took us months. Fortunately, in December I took advantage from our holidays and I could do the final part and share the calendar with the other schools in January to wish them a happy new year."

Unfortunately there could only be one logo choosen and the lucky one was Salvatore Greco from Istituto Comprensivo Statale G.Giusti Sinopoli (Italy).

Description: In order to encourage students to be productive instead of consuming, each school created their garden. In INS Cassà a group of 8 students is in charge of looking after it. These students have a specific curriculum which is flexible. Now with the garden they have a practical tasks and a responsability to develop some important skills and values. The garden was created by all the participants in the project and to organize it teachers distributed the tasks in groups so that all the groups had a task and it was easy for them to know what to do. There was a group who first removed the weeds, then another who mixed the soil and added compost, finally a group planted seeds and watered them. The garden was created in 2020 and it is still producing vegetables that students and teachers take to their homes.

Salvatore - Italian Student: "I'm very happy because my logo was the winner of the contest and now it is going to respresent all of us. It is going to be in posters and every material we create from now on."

Musa - Spanish Student: "I am a student from Escola Oberta at INS Cassà and one of the activities we can carry thanks to the Erasmus+ project is keeping the garden of the school. We're happy with this task because we learn practical and meaningful skills and we also benefit from the soil of our school."

Excursion to the Medieval castle of Cesis and the Old Town

At the end of the day, the entire mobility team went to the medieval castle of Cēsis, where, accompanied by guides, the visitors were introduced to the historical story of the medieval castle and the city of Cēsis, which led through old town and small streets.

AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS VIALONGA (VIALONGA, PORTUGAL)

AEV Vialonga includes approximately 2200 students including adult education and training. They Educational Priority Interventional Territory (EPIV) is being implemented in the school, which consists of an intervention plan based on identified difficulties and priorities, additional human resources, teacher training and "critical friend". As it was mentioned before, they not only teach general education curriculum. They also teach professional courses, music and orchestra lessons, adult teaching, unit for students with special needs, European projects and school sports. It is a public school involving all the grades of the Portuguese Education System. From kindergartens to secondary school. Their main goal is to reduce premature school dropout and absentism, providing each student the oportunity to learn followint different educational paths, imporoving their digital competences for studying or getting a job. Another goal is to raise happy and active citizens.

Description: Thanks to Don't Wait to See the Destruction students learnt the hazards of wasted batteries that are not recycled. In a talk given by teachers, students learned how much a battery can pollute water, how harmful they are for living beings and how they can be recycled almost entirely.&nbsp; To help on the issue of non recycled batteries, students designed posters to encourage other students to bring wasted batteries to schools and other recycling points and in a few days later, they were brought to the waste treatment centre.&nbsp;

Description: Energy saving is important for our environment and because of this our students were encouraged to perform small role plays suggesting solutions to waste energy. First, they had to create an idea tree with a couple of things society does wrong regarding energy waste. Then, they had to create a small play to make society conscious about the bad habits. They were not confident to perform in front of the group so we let them create short sketches. Check some of the results, they are as useful as funny!

Núria - Spanish Student: "The activity of making posters encouraging people to take batteries to collection points, I think it was a great idea as batteries pollute a lot and it is a good way to make them be recycled. It didn't take a lot of time but it was a bit difficult to think about sentences that make people realize about how much batteries can affect negatively in our planet, and how important is taking them to collection points and avoid them as much as you can.&nbsp;"

Description: The erasmus Corner was prepared for the last mobility. Therefore, students searched about the culture, geography, climate and population of Latvia. This is how Erasmus looked like with all the pictures and documents students found.

Description: All the activities of the project are collected in an eBook. This eBook, where students have writen their ideas about the activities project and the teachers have shown the results and how they were organised. This magazine is going to be printed to disseminate the results of this project and it is going to be distributed to the surrounding schools: primary schools, local libraries, old-people's home, hospital and shops.

Ana Beatriz, Elisa, Miriam and Noémi -Portuguese students: "We searched about Latvia and Césis because we were the group going there. We got very excited with everything we read about this country. But having been there was much more interesting, funny and wonderful."

Name: "This was the last activity of the project and it was the one that took more time to complete. We started this activity at the beginning of January 2023 and it didn't finish until June 2023. However, I am happy with the results of this activity because doing it I could remember all the activities we did in the project and pick up the thoughts and students' opinions."

Description: During the first mobility in Portugal, one of the activities we did was a visit to the water treatment plant of Lisbon. On that visit, the teachers from other schools noticed that their students had never visited the local plant. Because of this, short trips were organised to visit the nearest treatment plant to the schools. When organising the trips, teachers took into consideration activity P43 in which students had to go on a tour by bike. So, they joined both activities and instead of using engine trasnports, students went by bike to the water treatment plants. Thanks to this visit now students know the process of cleaning water in a natural way to let it go back to rivers in a way that it is not harmful to the environment. They learnt that it's important to keep the streets clean and to throw as minimum amount of rubbish as possible, so that it doesn't go to the water. Also, that we have to use as much as possible green trasnports to reduce pollution.

Ariadna C. - Spanish Student: "With our class we went on a cycling trip to a nearby treatment plant, to learn about the cycle of the dirty water and how it turns clean again. I really enjoyed it because we learned a lot of new things that we didn't know, but it didn't smell good, it was a very strong smell. Also, it was a great way to have fun, do sport and respect nature."

Next stop was in Latnature - small company where according to a special recipe, non-traditional flavors of vegetable chips, vegetable sandwiches and other delicacies are prepared. These snacks are unusual and healthy. We had the opportunity to try carrot, onion, beetroot, celery and kale chips, tomato, carrot and beetroot sandwiches, berry rolls and blackcurrant cookies.

Raunas stādi Nursery is a family farm where they grow various plants, flowers, etc. in greenhouses. The only thing they don't grow are fruit trees. We were warmly welcomed by the family members and told briefly about their work in the greenhouses. Then everyone was divided into groups and everyone could plant something and participate in gardening. Afterwards, everyone could walk around and enjoy the surroundings. We saw the national bird of Latvia - the stork. We also got to taste sea buckthorn berries and juice.

Portuguese students from 7th grade: "We enjoyed ourselves a lot doing this work out of recycled materials. Our Idea Tree looks pretty and with very useful sentences for the school community. as it is placed in the main building everyone is goint to see and read it. It is a way of making people think about their actions towards Planet Earth"

Guilherme - Portuguese student: "It was very interesting doing this research about the Rs because I only knew about the 5 Rs. Now in my class we are developinbg a work in Science to present to other classes about this idea."

After more than three years many teachers and students were involved in this project. Some with more prominence, others with less, but all of them contributed on bringing this project meet its aims. However, there ar people who have contributet more than anyone: the coordinators. Their work is essential to organise each activity and mobility. Behind these activities there are many hours of plannification that includes meetings with partners, colleagues, families and students. So, their job is not always appreciated in the daily work and it's important to mentioon it now. Also, there are some students who have worked a lot on this project and they had the opportunity to participate in the mobilities. These students deserved it but they weren't the only ones. We want to express our special appreciation to the ones who had been very involved but they did not have the opportunity to travel. We know your work and we value it a lot! And what about families? Their trust on teachers and the project is something to appreciate too, also their predisposition during the hosting mobilities, thank you so much, your help was essential too. Finally, a mention to every teacher that has given their help in the activities, specially english teachers and the members of the Erasmus comission, they were as important as coordinators, and they were key for many activities.

When Don’t Wait to See the Destruction was still in a draft form, the promoters of the project were focused on the impact that the project would have on students. During that time the aims were set up and so were the activities that were created following the same aims. Now that we’ve completed all the activities and mobilities, our students will feel a fast impact on themselves. However, the most meaningful learning isn’t established yet. The most meaningful intangible results are going to last a lifelong, that's why we expect that they will be more motivated to continue learning English and improving their digital skills because of the importance of the lenguage while traveling. Students will also gaine more love for their nature and motivation to preserve their environment. They will be model responsible citizens of the future and they will be taken as good examples by the younger future generations. We all hope that they will do good environmental actions to face global warming and climate change and be involved in future Erasmus programs. If this happens to a big percentage of the students, we will be happy and proud for letting them be the rolemodels of future citizens.

Ali Eren Koçak - Turkish student: It was a unique experience for me. Before we did some similar activities but this time we did it with our partners and with a drone that was recording and taking pictures of us. It was different and unique.

Description: During our visit to the energy museum, our students got to know the energy sources from the past to the present. They got to know the energy produced by steam power and the devices used in the past.

Nilsu Civelek - Turkish student: "Energy museum was fantastic. I was looking for the day to meet our partner schools. We learned about the history of energy that we have been using. Thanks to Erasmus+ project we have a big opportunity to learn and to have fun at the same time by collaborating with our international partners."

Kayra Şanlı - Turkish Student: " I had no idea about Erasmus before this project. Now I can see that it opens my horizon and definitely I will look for the opportunities by Erasmus in the future. I have visited this museum for the first time and it was very informing about energy. Old antique radios were interesting for me in this museum."

Description: Students used different ideas, apps, materials to make school community aware of the need to save energy, create new things from waste, reduce energy footprint and have a healthier and more sustainable Planet to live in.

Name: Ilda Carinhas, Ricardino Cruz With this activity we helped students realize how important it is to save energy, reduce waste and also to adopt recycling actions in everyday life. The 7 Rs steps were explained and discussed among them trying to understand how to put them into practice at schhol, at home and in the community.

In our mobility hosted by Turkey between 7-10 November, we organized activities to introduce our nature and explain the importance of energy saving to our partner schools.

We carried out the olive harvest, which is a source of income in our region, together with our partners. With this event, we both introduced an agricultural product unique to our nature and showed how the production is made.

Students from different levels attending the activities during the week: "It was incredible and we were grateful for having this opportunity. we visited some places that we had nevre been to in our own country. Then we were able to talk in english with the other students from different countries. we enjoyed ourselves a lot and made new friends."

Space Education Centre It was important to show the new Space Eduacation Centre - a sustainable and energy self-sufficient building, where active work is currently underway on the construction and arrangement of the expositions of the information center. It is planned that the center will be available to visitors already in July this year. The building is designed with low energy consumption. Underground tanks have been built next to the building, in which the rainwater collected on the roof of the building will be purified, and then it will be fed to the sanitary facilities for re-use in the building. Solar panels are also installed on the roof, which will provide a sufficient amount of electricity for all the needs of the information center. Smart management and control solutions for both electricity and heat are operating in the building.

Workshops The last day in mobility was workshops for students. They took a part in three workshops.&nbsp;At the first workshop the students discussed about waste sorting. They planned how to do it better and practically worked with waste sorting.&nbsp; In the second workshop students had to think about soil, how to keep it clean all around the world. The students made informational posters, how they see the clean soil and how they can inform others about this problem.&nbsp;In the third workshop students planted the seeds in the soil. They learned how plants can be watered by dripping method.&nbsp;When the plants were big enough our students planted them in schools garden.

Guilherme and Yannick - Portuguese students: "Getting to know Latvia and especially Césis was even more astonishing than we thought. We had some ideas because of doing the work for the Erasmus corner. Seeing everything with our own eyes and meeting such nice people was a great experience. We just loved it."

The second mobility of the Erasmus+ Project "Don't Wait to See the Destruction" was hosted by the Italian partners in Agira, in the centre of Sicily, in May 2022. The topic of the mobility was THINK GREEN and since the partners arrived at the weekend, on Friday 10th May, the guided visit started the day after in the Nature Reserve of Pergusa, with its beautiful lake, plants, olive trees, cypress trees and birds. The excursion was interspersed with notions regarding the olive tree germplasm field, its flora and fauna and mithological episodes which took place near Lake Pergusa such as “The rape of Proserpina” and “Cyparissus”.

Mehmet Zeki Yazici Ortaokulu is a primery school located in age Göynüklü village next to Mudanya (province Bursa).&nbsp; It has about 90 students from the 5th to 8th grades. It has about 10 teachers and we are together with the primary school students in the same building. The school has just one building where students interact between each others and they also have a very big playground were many activities take place.
