In Reception we celebrated 'World Nursery Rhyme Week' from Monday 15th November until Friday 19th November 2021.
Nursery rhymes are a great way to develop language, speaking and listening skills as well as matching actions.
Everyday we sing a nursery rhyme as part of our daily routine, so it is even more special to us taking part in World Nursery Rhyme Week alongside many other Early Years classes across the country!
Throughout the week we sang a selection of nursery rhymes and chose one to sing each day. We also completed an activity about the nursery rhyme too.
Have a look at some of the things we have been doing!

Monday 15th November 2021
'Incy, Wincy Spider'
'Incy, Wincy Spider'
We had to be very careful when sticking the eyes and legs on with glue because the glue is very sticky!
We said "please" and "thank you" when sharing the glue.
Would you like to sing the nursery rhyme?
"Incy, Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout,
down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came all the sunshine and dried up all the rain,
and Incy, Wincy Spider climbed up the spout again!"
