How Mountains Are Formed

Dome mountains are like a semi circle and have no lumps

We got 2 pieces of bread and put them on the table then we pushed them together and made a mountain.

We used card and then we made it flat . Then we made it into a mountain by making it flat and then we pushed it together and it makes a mountain .<br/>

First we got 2 pieces of paper and put them flat on the table. Then we pushed them together and it had to be flat or it wouldn’t work. Finally it made a mountain and then we took a picture of it.

It explodes and covers the mountain which hot larva. Then it turns into rocks (or ash ) and start to make a pile and then it will make another volcanic mountain.  It is likely to explode in another 5 years.

We had a bag of red paint and cut the top of .Then we got tinfoil and got a little circle and put the paint underneath it. We pressed on the tinfoil and all the paint (lava) blurted out like real volcano.

When cracks in the earths surface open up, large chucks of rock can be pushed up while others are pushed down.<br/>

They are different from the other mountain types. They haven’t formed because of rock or magma being pushed up. 

So what we did there is we broke part of the crispy cake in half it and then we rubbed it together and we used it as rocks falling down from a mountain.

Fold mountains occur when tectonic plates collide. The edges of the plates crumple as they are pushed together. The of the earths surface is pushed up to create a mountains and then it can get bigger and bigger the until it irupt.

We got some sand and pored water on it. Then the sand turned into liquid but it was supposed to disappear .
