How Mountains Are Formed

We used bread to crash into each other and that would create a mountain. We did it with paper and card paper to do the same thing.

The bread was easy to fold but the paper was harder because it was thin. The papers fold were straight but the was bumpy.

It goes over to the other side. It was covering the sand. It might of melted the sand.

We showed this by putting sand in a tin and pouring a cup of water near the top. All of the sand went to only one side when we put it on an angle.

Fold mountains are made when tectonic plates crash into each other. It forces the earth to rise up and create a mountain. This is how the Alps were created. 

This mountain was created by the see. The sand got washed away and piled up in one place. That happens for years and years until is creates a mountain.

The lava comes out of the volcano and then dries. It does not stay in one place.

We showed it by getting paint and putting tin foil on top. After, we squeezed it and paint came out as the lava. Then some more came out and dried up.

Volcanic mountains are created by its erupting. The lava dries up and turns into hot coal which creates a mountain. It erupts for a bit, then it stops and, then the larva dries and then even more comes out.

The tissue rises up while the balloon inflates. What I found interesting was that the ground really did rise up to create a dome mountain.

We blew up a balloon and put tishue paper on top. It showed how a dome mountain loooks like and how it was made.

When cracks in the earths surface open up, large chunks of rack can be pushed up while others are paused down.This makes mountains with a steep slope.

The magma is forced to be pushed down. This mountain never ever erupts. This mountain is a dome shape from the top.

They come out and break. All of rocks moved downwards. None moved upwards. It will come together it more rocks will fall down. Half of the chocolate inside were chopped of.

We did this by breaking a chocolate bar and seeing what would happen.
