Introduction
You might think that snowy owls are creepy night owls that hunt in the night. But the truth is that they are nice creatures that can hunt in the daytime and night. In this book you will learn the most interesting thing about snowy owls.
Food
You might think that snowy owls eat worms and things other birds eat.You are wrong! Snowy owls are omnivores. They eat moles, voles, muskrats, raccoons, ducks and geese. Some snowy owls eat different owls and amphibians. They even eat mammals, large hares, fish, song birds and medium size geese.

Snowy owls mostly eat lemmings because it is there favorite food and there are a lot of them in where they live. Adults eat 3 or 5 lemmings a day. A lemming is a small furry plant eater. An owl adaptation is their sharp beak and claws that help them catch and tear apart their prey. Snowy owls eat insects, crustaceans, and cold blooded animals. Snowy owls eat many types of food except worms, sandwiches and ice cream.
Communicate
Male snowy owls are some times good talkers and great hunters. Snowy owls mostly are silent though owls during the day.
The winter snowy owls have feathers and they say Kre kre and they say rick rick. When they came for scientists to see what they do. In their cage when predators come when the male or female go get food for there baby owls,That in there nest they get taking away when when they are eating when they approached there nest so when they eat they are not mad.
What They Look Like?
Snowy owls blend in white or snowy places. Female have darker markings out lines male owls grow whiter in age look like white narrow spare and yellow, eyes, black lead round with her tuft very small.
