FEBRUARY

THE CHINESE NEW YEAR

At the end of January or beginning of February in London and Great Britain the Chinese New Year is celebrated, with lively festivities and a huge parade, it is the largest festival of its kind outside of Asia, in which more than 700,000 people usually participate and usually take place in Rafalgar Square, Chinatown and the West End.

Typically, the celebrations last up to a week and include different events such as exhibitions or concerts. At this time, Chinatown restaurants also offer special dishes and the Dim Shum festival is celebrated.

Once the parade is over, it usually goes to Rafalgar Square where concerts, theater shows, acrobatic numbers, talks, etc. will be held. In addition to a small gastronomic market where some of the most typical dishes of the Chinese New Year are found.

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated every March 17 in Northern Ireland and in some cities in Great Britain, there it is a tradition to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland with festivals, parades, carnivals and concerts in Northern Ireland and throughout Great Britain, with parade in London included.

This festival started lasting 3 days and currently, it lasts five days. The largest St. Patrick's Day parade takes place in New York and is witnessed by more than two million spectators.

GRAND NATIONAL

APRIL

The Grand National Day takes place on a Saturday afternoon, at the beginning of April, it is one of the most famous horse races in the world, the riders go around the Aintree circuit twice, with 16 obstacles in the first and 14 in the second, by eliminating in this two: the chair and the waterfall.

It normally lasts three days, one would be dedicated to the race, and another of those three days is celebrated on Ladies' Day, a great Fashion party.

THE ROLLING CHEESE FESTIVAL

MAY

The Rolling Cheese Festival is an annual event held on Cooper's Hill on the last Monday in May (a British holiday). It started as a local festival and over time it ended up being an international festival, with thousands of annual visitors.
