The Tectonic Comic of Doom takes place on a world just like Earth except for some conditions that makes it have twice as many earthquakes and volcanoes as Earth. It‘s also run by the Supreme Riech von Jakub which controls the Vereintes Reich von Jakub. The Reich is at war. It‘s at war with the USA because they‘re the only big country that hasn’t yet submitted its power to the Supreme Reich von Jakub and become part of the Vereintes Reich von Jakub but all is good because the Reich is winning. It‘s winning because it has made great advancements on war during earthquakes and have more power in general. They also already have Inuiit* and Kannada*.

The VRJ is closing in on the USA but the war hasn’t been won yet. The VRJ controls almost all of the coast but the USA controls one place in California and the they made the decision to send all their watercraft there. They sent all their watercraft to a port occupied by the USA with 18 US warships inside. These docks and the warships in them are fiercely protected by a nine piece squadron of submarines 24/7. But the USA has a problem. Due to them only controlling their coastline they would have to rely on their seismonitors to detect the shock waves from earthquakes that could spark base destroying tsunamis. They wouldn’t know about a tsunami until it would be too late and the VRJ (Vereintes Reich von Jakub) knows that. So the VRJ sent in spies by the hundreds to steal some ships during a tsunami. The spies would mostly be supposedly Kannadian immigrants who supposedly lost their homes or are fleeing the VRJ although that‘s actually near to impossible due to the sheer amount of soldiers across the border and they‘ll make their way to California.

The spies would spread out across California and the ports and let more spies in. The principle is that there would be enough VRJ soldiers that they could overpower all the Americans and steal the ships with as few casualties as possible as opposed to pure violence. This way it would be a smooth taking of something that’s worth several billion dollars. Then the time came. The wave was going to be big because the plate under the ocean was a converging plate and the tide was high. So the ships with over half their crews from the VRJ went out just out of range of the waves but that was enough. The Americans were quickly slaughtered and the ships were now going to be part of the VRJ fleet. The reason why the Americans brought all their boats off shore is because a tsunami only forms a few hundred meters away from the shoreline whereas farther out it‘s only a big rolling wave. Tsunamis just like earthquakes have foreshocks but they are far smaller and barely noticeable. That‘s why the Americans were in such a hurry.

As that was happening the VRJ was building a tunnel that was going to go a few kilometres into one of the biggest USA bases. The VRJ was putting spies into American territories like crazy. About one in every ten supposedly all American soldiers was working in secrecy for the VRJ. This tunnel was being built by VRJ spies that was going to put down one of the biggest USA bases was about to be struck by a disaster. What the VRJ and the USA didn’t know about was that the base was on a small crack in the plates which was slowly, century by century coming apart and a diverging plate boundary earthquake was going to make a small yet badly constructed tunnel destroying, earthquake there, and it did. The surviving VRJ soldiers made a memorial for something which never officially happened and made a new tunnel. This one was better constructed but was going to take much much longer.

Within the VRJ they were building the Euro Tunnel that was going to connect the Islands of Britannia (British Isles) to Frankreich (France) but it was going to be a big project as they were using ten tunnel boring machines for extra escape and stabeliser tunnels and those didn’t come cheap or quick. The project was also going to take approximately ten more years until full completion because of the sheer amount of rock that they had to move. But why did they have to make so many tunnels? The reason is earthquakes. Just because most of Europe isn‘t on a plate boundary doesn‘t mean that earthquakes don‘t happen. Every... few hundred years an earthquake happens in Europe and that can have catastrophic results so the SRJ and VRJ architects had to be careful. The convection currents in Europe are as strong as they are in Japan and the only difference is that all of Europe is one tectonic plate. Luckily for everyone building the tunnels all was going fine and was set to be all good.

The VRJ was also building an Japan-China tunnel but unlike the Euro tunnel wasn‘t going as well as they wanted it to. It was because Japan is right beside a converging plate boundary. The plate would cause earthquakes and just because the earthquakes were on the other side of the island doesn‘t mean that the shocks from the earthquake couldn‘t cause damage on the other side of Japan as and on the morning of December the 15th 1968 they found that out the hard way. The earthquake had also made a 40 foot tall tsunami that had almost whrecked the nuclear power-plants Daichi and Fukushima luckily for those the VRJ had made the walls protecting them from tsunamis fifteen meters higher and the only damages were at the coastal towns and cities which were fixed within a year. The Americans near Japan were quickly ridden of but they showed that they were reckless knowing that the VRJ was going to win. This meant that the VRJ was going to be extra precautions. They would also have to shoot to kill because no one wants to be hit by a hunting bullet which is officially banned by the Geneva convention which America signed but unofficially used by the crazy Americans. This was just the reason why the VRJ should win the war rather quickly than slowly. The Americans weren’t the only foe to be thought. For although Europe was now nice and quiet as the VRJ was making huge investments into the European infrastructure especially into trains but India and China weren’t as happy. Since the war there had only been won a year earlier the VRJ was still establishing dominance and roaming over the government. The VRJ counting how many people were in every village didn’t help much either. Although it did show them that the VRJ was very much there it didn’t make their relationships any better. They were a long way away to world unity led by the SRJ but they were making process.

On the other hand were the two tunnels and most people out of Europe thought they were a waste of money because they didn’t know about how the high speed freight rail line going all the way through from Britannia to Japan and later also to Africa. What the VRJ wanted to do with that is make such a big train net that shipping would only happen in between Kamchatka and Inuiit (Alaska) because the VRJ and SRJ are for the environment. There was also another project planned called the W.M.N. (World Maglev Net). It was a project set to have many less lines but be much more expensive. The VRJ was already building maglev lines that were going under 100 kilometres and had built a whole net within the EU and then also up to Petrograd (St Petersburg) and Moscow. These lines along with the ones in Europe were in between big cities and were already in use and making the VRJ money. There were also maglev lines planned to go in the tunnels as well as already being tested for going in a vacuum tunnel from London to Paris because the Euro tunnel was air sealed and would only let tiny amounts of air through. All in all the VRJ’s maglev net was making it money and expanding to go all over the world with concentrations in places like Europe, east Asia, and the northeast of America along with Kannada (Canada).
