CEIP MANUEL SIUROT - LA RODA DE ANDALUCÍA
On April 21 we enjoyed the visit of our Finnish friends to our school. We had lunch with them and with the families of our students and we show them and explain the typical things of our land: the production of olive oil, old tools and antiques. In addition, since our project is related to water, we visited the Fuente de Piedra salt lagoon. It is the largest in Andalusia, with its 1,400 ha, is a unique location within the wet zones of the Western Mediterranean. It is home to the largest colony of flamingoes to be found anywhere in the Iberian Peninsula, second in importance in Europe after France Camargue. Unfortunately, we have not been able to see flamingos due to the severe drought that we are suffering. However, we have all enjoyed this unique and unforgettable experience.
