The Ecuadorian Montubios are a mestizo people of peasant origin who live in rural areas of the country's coastal provinces. They are scattered throughout the provinces of Guayas, Los Ríos, El Oro and Manabí, and in other areas to a lesser extent.

Tsachilas Where are the tsáchilas?
The Tsachila indigenous people, traditionally known by the Castilian term Colorados for their custom of painting their bodies and hair red with achiote (bixa orellana), live in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsachila, Santo Domingo canton, Puerto Lemon (Ecuador)
