In Fort Stevens we learned tons of stuff, for example, we learned about cannons that only appeared for a few seconds to fire, and then they disappeared behind a wall. We also toured Fort Stevens and saw different chambers where they communicated and where the lamps were. We also saw different architectural things like how the hills were a shield and things like that. A thing that I found really interesting was that Fort Stevens was actuallyattacked, unlike quite a few different Forts.

I think that activities like high life adventure zip lines are important to small towns because one thing that almost every person needs is fun. Fun is an important thing to have  because when there aren’t that many things to do life gets boring.

The chinook was the name of the tribe that was here before the Europeans invaded. They were heavily impacted when the Europeans came because they were here thousands of years before. The chinook people had already learned to do several things before the Europeans showed up, they learned how to make clothes, food baskets, huts, canoes, carpets and everything else they needed. The chinook people were also part of trade systems. They had a whole system all along Columbia river.

I would be willing to cross the bar but only if someone was helping me. I think that it would be even more dangerous to cross the bar without help, so I’d really want someone who knows what they’re doing, to help me not sink the boat. I think that crossing the bar would be exciting and fun but really scary. If I had the option I would 100% try crossing the bar.
