Canan Dağdeviren (born May 4, 1985) is a Turkish academic, physicist, material scientist, and assistant professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) she directs her own Conformable Decoders research group at the MIT Media Lab. In 2014, Dağdeviren became the first Turkish scientist to be elected as a Junior Fellow of Harvard.[ In 2019, Dağdeviren was awarded the Kadir Has University Promising Scientist Award and recognized in Fortune Turkey.
Burcu Özsoy (born in Gaziantep, Turkey, in 1976) is a Turkish scientist who works with sea ice remote sensing in Antarctica . Özsoy is head of the first Turkish polar research center. She is the founder and director of Istanbul Technical University Polar Research Center .
