Why is North Korea so secretive towards the rest of the world?

They are secretive to war because they don’t want their citizens to know, like if they know about it everybody would be worried and scared and they might ran away from their country. They need to keep it secret and North Korea is not self-sufficient in food production because of the lack of product diversification and old technology.

The Korean conflict 

It was a proxy war between the United States and the Soviet Union (USSR), with each sending troops and supplies directly to their allies to support the regional battle. The US backed South Korea, while the Soviets and China backed North Korea. The Korean War ended three years later, with millions of casualties.

North Korea is a highly secretive communist state that remains isolated from much of the rest of the world. North Korea lost the support of the Soviet Union and plunged into an economic crisis. They even banned its citizens from laughing, shopping, and drinking from Friday onwards as a part of 11-day mourning on the 10th anniversary of former leader Kim Jong-il.

North Korea is the worth country because it forced labor is part of an established political repression apparatus. North Koreans have no say over their jobs and cannot change jobs at will; the North Korean government selects what work each citizen will have. The Korean War was secretive because they already forget about it because it started as a police action and slowly progressed to a conflict.
