It was a soft and sunny yet slightly breezy day I was in the kitchen eating breakfast while my family was getting ready. My brother , Logan was downstairs packing and as usual he does it at the last minute. I heard my mom and dad start the water in the shower and as it hit the tub floor my mom yelled out to me “Ash go put me and your dad's suitcase into the car!”
I ran it out to the car which already had the trailer attached to it and once I got back inside I heard the blow dryer start which meant I did not have a lot of time so I ran straight to the table picked up my spoon and shoved as much cereal as I could into my mouth. Then my brother walked up the stairs with his dark red suitcase yelling “Ashley we are gonna be late because of you hurry up I want to see the cousins first!”
Guess what we were already late but I was still excited anyway I always have so much fun with my family and the cousins even though I get sun burnt every year. Then I heard my mom and dad open the bathroom door so I slipped on my slightly beat up tennis shoes over my unmatching sock , then me and Logan started to take all the dogs out to the car first Rico then Luke then Koda and finally the hyper little puppy Boo Boo.

My brother , Logan was downstairs packing and as usual he does it at the last minute. I heard my mom and dad start the water in the shower and as it hit the tub floor my mom yelled out to me “Ash go put me and your dad's suitcase into the car!”
I ran it out to the car which already had the trailer attached to it and once I got back inside I heard the blow dryer start which meant I did not have a lot of time so I ran straight to the table picked up my spoon and shoved as much cereal as I could into my mouth. After putting everything into the gray suburban me and Logan hopped straight into the car and a few moments later my mom and dad did the same. Logan was already on his phone doing who knows what but I was just so excited for another great year with the family, but what I forgot was we had to wait for my grandpa to drive down to help us. Even though it was literally seven minutes I felt so anxious like it felt like I couldn't even stay in my seat but seven minutes later he pulled up in his dark green subaru You know that feeling when your gonna be late how your just like ahhhh and your just freaking out in your head but on the outside you seemed normal that's how I felt before he showed up after he did show up it was like a sort of relief. My brother got out of the car and in the rear view mirrors I saw him get into the subaru with my grandpa the reason we needed help from my grandpa was we needed someone to help drive the boat up to hyrum did we own a boat you ask no it was my aunts and uncles who were so kind to let us use it for the time being.

After all that comotion ended we were on our way I  got to listen to my music since logan was with my grandpa but even my music couldn't calm me down I couldn't wait to see who was there and what we would do first. The ride there was pretty short compared to the other years where it felt like four hours but nope only 45 minutes to an hour at the most you know traffic and everything. I now enjoy the rides there and back I get to look out the windows and see trees and other people's towns when I was younger and in the car I didn't really appreciate the outside world we had and to be completely honest I sometimes rolled down the windows and sort of put my hand out and I know this sounds weird but the air smell different then when I was home sounds crazy I know but I really enjoy going camping and especially with my family yah sounds like something out of pocahontas but its very much true.

Most of the car ride I was singing along to my music playing on the radio while my mom and dad were talking about who knows what , because I know I was definitely not paying attention we pulled up to the campsite when my favorite song came on but i didn't really care i was so excited and then guess what we were the first ones there and we thought we were running late yah right. My dad started to put our trailer into our spot and after we got everything ready and we were just hanging out inside together my aunt kristi pulls up and her husband blake not to forget her kids Rachel, Isaac, kara and then the dog Trixi. Me and rachel kind of got along like we got along but we don't usually hang out together you know since she is three years younger. After an hour or so more of the family started to show up and put all of there tents up I felt so happy to be there with all the family. Later that day when everyone was settled we of course decided to go down to the water just for a little while until dinner at least.

When we got down to the water they pulled the life jackets out of the back of my grandmas white van of course everyone had to wear one how else are you supposed to keep 31 kids from drowning, the kids did really out number the adults so they just had to make sure everyone was ok just like every other year. About four hours later we headed back to camp because most of us were done at the water everyone changed and played for a little while, we then went straight to dinner after my aunts and uncles were done cooking it we all ran over of course i don't really matter who got there first cause we always went from youngest to oldest and well my age group had to mostly help the little kids with there plates then get back in the line.

When dinner came to an end my uncle spencer hooked up the projector and set up yogi bear we watched every year before and a little bit before the movie ended me and my cousin mariah and Nikki went to go start the fire it was our first time doing it.
“Ashley go get some wood from over there Mariah you can go to” said Nikki
But right when i looked over to Mariah she looked at me and started to run towards the wood like she was racing me to the little forest area by the camp she started to laugh so i got up and ran as fast as i could it turns out a certain rock didn't want me to run cause a second later i tripped right over it and instead of running it wanted me to fall straight to my face when Mariah looked back at me we just both burst out laughing not like a little chuckle like full on laughing our heads off i seriously couldn't breathe. Mariah was over there laughing so hard she fell to the ground.
