Esperanza Rising

esperanza is an only child with mexican parents. There is a big twist In events when papa gets killed by the bandits. Then their house gets caught on fire and abulita ankle gets hurt.

Then they get in a wagon and they are covered in gauvas. They are hiding from Tio luis and Tio Marcus. they get on a train to go to california.

Abulita did not go on the train with them she was hurt so she went with her sisters to the convent.

She gets to california with mama, Hortensia,Miguel, and Alfonso. She meets new people like Juan, Josefina,Isabel, and the babies, Pepe and Lupe.

Mama and the others went working. Esperanza and isabel are watching Pepe and Lupe , Esperanza leans how to clean and change diapers.

Then a dust storm causing the great desspresion. Mama gets sick and goes to the hospital. Esperanza is now working to heal mama and to bring abuelita to California.

After a little while mama heals and Miguel secretly takes Esperanza's money to bring Abuelita to California for a suprise.

ESPERANZA
Esperanza is a young girl with a Mexican girl with mexican parents
she is happy and lives well in the beginning of the story but when her papa dies she goes down hill and gets super glommy and sad when mama gets sick she is super sad and comforting to mama but when mama gets better and Abuelta comes she is happy and feels much better.

MIGUEL
Miguel is a servant and is good friends with Esperanza. Esperanza is Miguel fiends. Miguel is kind and caring. When they california he is super sympathetic to Esperanza when her mama gets sick.
