Maths Floor Book Class 2Week 6
Counting, Ordinality and Cardinality
We sang the song 'Five little peas in a pea pod'. We then used our hands to represent the pea pod and drew peas into it, counting how many altogether. We also played 'Five Nice Things'.
There are 5 fingers on one hand!
We learnt all about Numberblock Number 5. He sang a fantastic song about 'high five'. We talked about why it might be called a high five. We then began to represent this pictorially and wrote number 5. We looked at how you can split 5 in different ways.
We know there are 5 fingers on one hand.
We learnt that there are 10 fingers on both hands! We got into partners. One partner collected 5 objects and the other partner collected 5 objects... can you guess how many we had altogether?
