Wk 2 Session 1

Today we met Magic Max the mathematician. He needed some help with his counting. The children noticed some things that Max was doing wrong with his counting and were able to talk about them.

He is touching the same thing lots of times.

LEARN ITS

We have been learning new number facts.

We know that Double 1 is 2. You can say this as 1+1 = 2 as well.

Today we helped Magic Max with his counting. We have some top tips for counting that we want to share with you.

Put a group of objects in a line. The last number is how many you have.

Today we found out that you can count anything! Including sounds! Max set us a challenge to see if we could listen carefully and count what we could hear. Here is what we thought...

Today we counted some larger items in the environment. Max brought his magic wand to help him with his counting. We then had a go at counting and used magic wands too! Who knew counting could be so much fun?
