zSpace Scavenger Hunt
Agriculture Equipment Welder

Follow the steps to learn more about the field of welding.

Step 1:

Go to zCentral and use Launch Code: AP36.

Step 2:

Select name and enter PIN. If your name is not listed, select a demo account and enter 0000 to start an exercise.

Step 3:

Select Process 135 (GMAW), then select Assembly
TF (Tube Fillet Welds).

Welders use their knowledge and precision in welding to repair metal equipment such as tractors, trailers, tools, gates, and metal fencing. They can obtain informal, on-the-job training, or obtain a certificate through a tech college in 7-24 months.

Hunt and Find

Set Up a Weld

Select Position 2F (Horizontal), then select Direction
Forehand. Select Level and look at parameter values: Beginner. Select arrows to continue. Select a Step Level 3 - Practice speed and trajectory.

Practice a Weld

Start from speed guide position
Green torch tip on blue line
Compress torch button to begin
Follow the speed guide
Exercise will stop when complete

Tips:
If you release the torch button, the exercise will pause. To restart, reposition where you left off and press the button to continue the exercise.
