A cardiologist is a medical doctor who specialize in treating diseases of the circulatory system (heart and blood vessels) including coronary artery disease and clots. In order to become a cardiologist, one must undergo four years of undergraduate school, four years of medical school, as well as three years of internal medicine training. Finally, one must complete three more years of specialized training.
