What do I KNOW?
What do I WANT to know?
HOW do I find out?
What have I LEARNED
What ACTIONS will I take?
What new QUESTIONS do I have?
I KNOW that light passes through a straight line and does not bend but when it goes from one medium to another it bends.
The Earth is the third planet in the solar system and there are 8 planets in the solar system but it was 9 before Pluto was considered a dwarf planet.
Reflection is when light reflects off a non-transparent object.

I WANT to know what is a Periscope and its usage.
I will FIND OUT by reading science books and watching scientific videos about it.
Activity - 1 Newton's Spin Wheel

- What did I do?
- Newton's spin wheel is a color-changing activity where we cut out a piece of cardboard into a circle, then we took a piece of paper and cut it into the same shape as the cardboard, we sketched the paper we cut out with VIBGYOR, and glued the paper onto the cardboard. Now when we put a thread and spin the wheel very fast while holding the thread we put in the wheel, it appears to become white.
- How does it work?
- When it spins very fast it becomes white.
- Conclusion
- It shows all of the colors that white light is made up of.

Activity - 2 My Rainbow TUNING - IN
- What did I do?
- My Rainbow is an activity where we can see the white light scatters and divides into the 7 seven colors of the Rainbow. To do this activity, we have to take a bowl and fill it with some space left at the top then take a hand mirror. Place half the mirror in the water and the other half of it outside of the water. Take a torch at the part of the mirror in the water at such an angle that the light falling on the part of the mirror under the water shines on the part of the mirror out of the water, so we can see a rainbow on the surface where the light that reflects from the part of the mirror outside the water.
- How does it work?
- Light travels always travels in a straight line but when it travels from one medium to another it bends. When light bends it scatters into the 7 colors of the Rainbow.
- Conclusion
- This shows how we can make a Rainbow at home.

Activity - 3 Rectilinear Propagation of light
FINDING - OUT
FINDING - OUT
- What did I do?
- Rectilinear propagation is an activity where we can understand how light travels. To do this activity we have to cut out 4 medium-sized, 4 small squared, and 3 small rectangular cardboard pieces. Then we glue all the small square pieces with the 3 rectangular pieces in the middle. This allows us to take 2 cardboard pieces and cut holes in the so we can place 1 in between one side of the rectangular box and one side of a square box, the other in between the other side of the Rectangular box, and one side of the other square box. Then we put the last medium-sized cardboard piece at the end as the target for the light to reach. Now when we shine a torch light through the front hole it should show the light travel through the second hole too, and hit the target.
- How does it work?
- When light travels through the holes it proves that light doesn't bend.
- Conclusion
- When the light shines through the holes and hits the target it shows that light travels in a straight line.

My reflection on the myths and stories about the
rabbit in the moon
rabbit in the moon
Many years ago, in a forest there used to live different kinds of animals. Four animals were best friends, a monkey, an otter, a rabbit, and an elephant. The rabbit was the kindest and most loved animal in the forest, his kindness spread through the forest and even his friends also were affected by his kindness. The otter was greedy and never used to share his fish with others but he started sharing his food. The monkey was very naughty and soon became thoughtful. The elephant was secretive with his springs and started sharing the springs. One day the rabbit got an idea and said to his friends, "I just got an idea, let's invite other animals to live in our forest so they can live happily too." The otter said, "Yes! That's a great idea. I shall get fish for others to eat." The monkey said, "I shall get mangoes for others to eat." The elephant said, "I will get water from the springs for others to eat." The rabbit was sad, he couldn't give anything to spread kindness. He ate grass but no human or other animal eats grass. Then he remembered that humans and animals sometimes eat meat too, and decided he would sacrifice himself so that others can eat his meat.
When god saw the amount of kindness filled in the rabbit, he disguised himself as a poor human who is hungry and started screaming, "Help! Help! I'm hungry." when the four friends heard him the monkey immediately started getting mangoes, the otter started getting fish and the elephant started getting water from the springs. The rabbit escorted the poor hungry man under a tree and told him, "Get sticks and make a fire." the poor hungry man started getting sticks and before he could make a fire the rabbit said, "Once you make the fire I will jump into it and you can eat me." The poor man immediately took two rocks and made a fire. The rabbit breathed heavily and leaped forward into the fire but somehow not a single piece of fur was burnt on the rabbit. The god revealed himself and said, "Rabbit, your kindness is unlike anything I have ever seen. I will place you in the moon so that everytime anyone looks at it, they will see you and remember your kindness." The god lifted the rabbit up and placed him on the moon.
