first you have to find where a good spot to fish. it depends, on what your fishing for. if your fishing for bass then you would want to use a jig or a lure. if you where going for catfish then use live bait or just normal bait. it all depends on what you are going for. also if you are on a boat in a lake pond, stream, or river any of these places you can fish many types of ways. example such as you are in a stream and you are using some type off bait you wanna cast upstream with a small ball weight on it depending on ow deep the water is. if your fishing on a pond most people will fish from shore using a lure or jig. in lakes you could fish the same as in a pond but it is better to go out on a boat while fishing in a lake.
