"Come in," the King says authoritatively, but a curious tone in his voice too. Who would dare to interrupt the king in his own room?

Prologue
King Darius I was sitting on his bed, looking out the window at the large empire he, and others, had built. Now, a bed is probably not where you typically imagine a king to be. When you imagine a King, you probably imagine him sitting on a gold throne with servants carrying all sorts of delicacies and more servants pampering, and more servants polishing the gold dining table, gold chairs, gold vases, and...well you get the idea. Don't worry, the servants were still there, but sometimes the golden throne gets a little uncomfortable, being made out of gold and all.
Everything seems completely normal when short, sudden knocks are heard at the Kings massive, also gold, doors.
Darius raises an eyebrow at the, "unnecessary relaxing", but let's it slide. For now.
"And what might this, discouraging report, be?"
"Sir, Greece is supporting the uprisings and rebellions from Ionia, which are against our kingdom."
"Ionia!" the King roars. "You told me these rebellions were small, silly, matters!"
"Yes sir, but that was months ago. During this time they have grown and brought the Greeks on their side. And you know how powerful the Greek army is."
King Darius, in fact, did know. He had quite a few of them in his own army! But that was not the matter. Right now, he needed a plan. Something to overthrow the Greeks. An invasion.

"Come in," the King says authoritatively, but a curious tone in his voice too. Who would dare to interrupt the king in his own room?
A servant proceeds towards the doors, revealing the messenger Darius remembered sending a week ago to check on the neighboring kingdoms.
"Your Highness, sorry interrupt your unnecessary relaxing - uh - duties, but there has been a discouraging report from Greece."
Darius raises an eyebrow at the, "unnecessary relaxing", but let's it slide. For now.

“Bahadur!”
“Here Sir!”
“Darian!”
“Here!”
“Here Sir!
“Right, Sir!”
The Captain calls out the names of Bahadurs' fellow soldiers to account for absences. As he does so, the only thing on Bahadur’s mind is the longing to the rush of exhilaration he feels in a battle. He remembers all those sessions in the art of combat. All his life he has trained for this very moment and as such he can barely stand still from his restlessness. Although he was well aware of danger and peril of a real battle and war, he was assertive he would come out alive and hopefully become a great aid to his empire for his loyalty rests in it.

Part 1
After all soldiers have been dismissed from roll call, Bahadur hears an announcement of their arrival at the Bay of Marathon. He looks out to see simply a sliver of light golden sand, but as they get closer he sees a larger portion of the shore. In the distance, he spots a small city, the Marathon, as told by the captain, King Darius I. It's pretty small though, as most of the area is a large plain. With his sharp eyes, Bahadur can tell that the architecture is somewhat different than the buildings back home, in Persia. He also spots many green trees dotting the landscape, giving it a flourishing look, along with a river in the distance. And finally, he can distinguish the soldiers King Darius I sent earlier to prepare the camp that he and his fellow soldiers will wait and prepare for the battle at.

Part 2
"It's a few hours away. We can make it to the camp before sundown." Bahadur mutters to himself.
The march to the camp was uneventful and quiet. They made it to camp, and started to eat the rice, vegetables, bread, as Bahadur started to think about the battle ahead. "We have the largest army in the world, We cannot lose", Bahadur thought. He then thought of the rulers he had to inspect for treason.it had been grueling checking over every message and every part o the room. No more of that until this war is over. He was brought back to reality by the captain, who had received news from a scout,
"The Greeks are outnumbered. this should be easy."
Before the captain went to ready the cavalry horses, which would be near unbeatable in these open plains. Bahadur went to prepare his armor for battle as well as sharpen his spear and sword and axe.
After checking his weapons, Bahadur came out to the sound of yelling, and saw the Greeks attack the Persians that had been waiting at this camp for quite a few sunrises. the Greeks, as suddenly as they had attacked, fell back into formation. "Cowards." Bahadur thought, and went to his table, and found that Darians was cracking jokes, likely trying to boost morale, but Bahadur was annoyed that Darian was joking at a time like this. this could be there last meal, and he was making jokes.
