Not all Meets are Created Equal 
BEST PRACTICE:
Any Meet with students SHOULD have Quick Access turned off BEFORE the host leaves the meeting
Student vs Staff Access
Students:
Cannot create their own Meets using their school account

Can re-access a Meet links 

Never have moderator controls

Can join any link shared with them
 

Staff:

Can create Meets in a variety of ways

Have access to moderator controls
All users must be logged in to jeffcoschools.us
Host Controls
The host controls what participants can do in the meeting and allows you to appoint co-hosts. Teachers should have host management turned on.
Teachers can decide to let participants:
Ellipse;
Pin a participant
To only view one specific participant, pin them to your screen. In a video call, hover over a person’s icon tap pin 

Mute a participant’s microphone
If there is feedback or background noise in a video call, you may want to mute other participant’s microphones.
At the top, click People, Next to a participants name, click Mute 

Tip: For privacy reasons, you cannot unmute another person. Ask the participant to unmute their audio.
