Chapter 1 Where they Live
Polar Bears live in a special place so they won't die. First they can live by water so they can get food. Some live in the middle of Antarctica. If you ever see a hole in the snow it usually means that a polar bear is living there with their cubs.
Chapter 2 Cubs
Polar bears can have up to 4 baby cubs a year but it's common for them to have two cubs a year. When they are first born, cubs are blind, toothless, and covered in a layer of fur. They begin their life about 25 centimeters long and weigh about 2.2 pounds. Cubs are extremely cute and can be about the size of a notebook but they grow quickly because of the momma bear's milk which is 31 percent fat.
Chapter 3
What They Do
Some things polar bears do are just like humans. They can sleep about 7-8 hours as well as taking naps. Napping helps them build up their energy to go hunting for food to survive.
