She let the friendly fox buy her the&nbsp;clean carrots, and she happily pranced home with her big basket.

A fox triumphantly trotted up to her. &nbsp;“Do you want me to buy the carrots for you?” He asked.&nbsp; “No thanks,” Basil replied.&nbsp; “Oh! But, I insist!

The next day, Basil went back to the supermarket.

“I can buy them for you! I don’t mind.” Basil told him. “Thank you so much!” the friendly fox said.

There once was a bunny named Basil Cannoli . She needed to get carrots for her Great Great Grandma Granoli, for she was very sick and needed care.

She saw the friendly fox, looking devastated and staring at flowers. “What's wrong?” Basil asked. “My mother’s birthday is today, but I don't have enough money for flowers!” He replied dryly.

This book is dedicated to Rebecca, my favorite teacher.
