Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Helen went to Radcliffe College. She died on June 1, 1968. A famous quote of hers is, "What I'm looking for is not out there, it is in me."
Important Life Events
In 1882, she got sick when she was almost two and became deaf and blind. Helen learned her first words in 1887.
Helen could not see and she could not hear.
We celebrate her because Helen Keller helped the deaf and blind. She gave people hope. Helen Keller was a true heroine.
