How can we make more computer chips instead of buying them from other countries and alleviate the global computer chip shortage?
⠀⠀The United States doesn’t have many chips, which is a problem. You might be wondering "Why is it such a big problem?" The reason is because these aren't the chips that are addicting. They are computer chips. They are crucial because they are used to construct computers, cars, and many other things that are important to our everyday lives. They are all that and a bag of chips and important. We get computer chips from other countries such as China or Taiwan, which will be covered later in the book.

What Are We Working With?
The majority of computer chips are made with silicon, a semiconductor that is very important and is the fourteenth element in the Periodic Table. It can also be found in rocks, sand, clays, and soils, but not by itself. There is usually oxygen with the silicon, and sometimes with other elements. Plastic is also used in the computer chips to make it more flexible, which is made from natural materials. Copper is used for electrical conductivity, which can be mined underground. Different computer chips can be made in very different ways, so you might prefer one computer chip over another. Graphene can also be used as an alternative to silicon chips as a semiconductor.
Getting The Materials
The materials are necessary for making computer chips. We need to find a way to get the materials so there can be more computer chips in the United States. We currently get the computer chips from China and Taiwan, but they are producing less, so we need to find a faster way to get more computer chips. A solution would be to create a company that will work on producing the computer chips that workers can obtain from stores or make at home. People will be allowed to work at home, then deliver the assigned amount of materials by each due date. Everybody must cooperate with each other to end the computer chip shortage. This will help people in need that don’t have a lot of money. This is a very important job because computer chips are very important. People need to take these jobs to make computer chips and help save the world.

About The Computer Chip Shortage
The computer chip shortage started because computer chips began to be scarce during the pandemic when people cut their orders because they feared a recession. Next, semiconductor plants like the ones in China and Taiwan to produced fewer computer chips, so there was an increase in demand. Now, the computer chip shortage is impacting almost every industry in the world. The computer chip shortage is a very big problem because there aren’t as many computer chips being produced and cannot be ignored. "Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSMC) says it is doing all it can to increase productivity and alleviate a worldwide chip shortage, but that tight supplies will likely continue into next year." If we can stop it before it does any more damage, then the computer chip shortage will be a thing of the past. The only problem with this is that it might end up in future generations' history homework.
Companies are trying to increase production of computer chips, but there aren't enough materials to make more. This is what caused the computer chip shortage.
