The Corning-Painted Post Area School District is located in southeast Steuben County, New York and is approximately 234 square miles in size with 4,800 students. We consist of a high school, middle school, six elementary schools and the High School Learning Center. We are located in The Schuyler-Steuben-Chemung-Tioga-Allegany Board of Cooperative Educational Services (GST BOCES).

The strategic categories, encompassing strategic goals, guide the long-term work of the Corning-Painted Post Schools. These goals align with the district’s vision, mission and core beliefs and set the path for continuous improvement.

To recruit and retain qualified teachers and administrators with an emphasis on building a diverse cadre of personnel sensitive to the needs of the student population. 
To maintain financial stability and self-sufficiency, while working to increase the financial capacity of the District in support of student achievement and growth.

To enhance engagement between District personnel and families where personal and social circumstances are visible and acknowledged. Broadened awareness of students, families, staff and community members by socio economics, family dynamics, race, disabilities, gender and sexuality.
To foster relationships with students, families and community by creating an inclusive environment for all students where they are prepared for personal success.

Educational Programming
To work towards an empathetic, supportive, and positive school environment when all students are physically and emotionally safe.
To develop a plan for teaching and learning at C-PP that incorporates development of programs, content skills, systems/structures to meet all student needs, enhance learning, and enable experiences that prepare all students to take advantage of opportunities.

Provide a culture committed to the wellness (social, emotional, behavioral, mental and physical) of students, staff and families.
