Rhinoceros beetles live every continent except Antarctica. They live on leaves, litter, plants and fallen logs help rhinoceros beetles stay safe during the day.

Characteristics

Rhinoceros beetles have six legs, two wings and three body parts. They are the head, thorax and abdomen. Rhinoceros beetles also have two eyes, a horn and antennae.

Rhinoceros beetles have complete metamorphosis because they have four stages egg, ins-tar grub, pupa and adult. There are three stages of the in-star grub. This means they molt three times. The in-star grub can last to twelve to eighteen months.
