The rhinoceros beetle is a friend to people but a foe to crops. The rhinoceros beetle can’t bite or sting but it eats crops. They do eat plants.

The rhinoceros beetle is the strongest animal in the world because it can lift 850x it’s weight.

The Rhinoceros beetle can reach up to 6 inches in length which makes them the largest beetle in the world.

Rhinoceros beetles have complete metamorphosis because they have four stages egg, ins-tar grub, pupa and adult. There are three stages of the in-star grub. This means they molt three times. The in-star grub can last to twelve to eighteen months.<br/>

Rhinoceros beetles are social insects because the males fight the other males in the summer. Rhinoceros beetles must group together to fight.

Rhinoceros beetles live every continent except Antarctica. They live on leaves, litter, plants and fallen logs help rhinoceros beetles stay safe during the day.

Rhinoceros beetles have six legs, two wings and three body parts. They are the head, thorax and abdomen. Rhinoceros beetles also have two eyes, a horn and antennae.
