Sketch a design for your fort.

There are different materials you can use to attach the parts of your fort.
hot glue*
twine or string
tape
craft glue
pipe cleaners
*ask an adult to help

To build a strong base for your fort, cut lines at the end of a cardboard tube, just like you see in the picture. This is a cardboard attachment called a flange.

A flange will make sure your fort is stable.
Glue or tape the arms of the flange to the base

Add decks or whatever you would like to have in your insect fort!

You do not have to glue or tape at all if you don’t want to. Just stack your materials like you would wooden blocks.
