World Good Deeds Day was launched by the international organization Good Deeds Day 16 years ago in Israel with 7,000 volunteers. Today it is a global event and a real world manifestation of solidarity and promotion of volunteering, which is celebrated in 108 countries around the world. In order to strengthen the partnership between schools and the local community, we also marked #GoodDeedsDay. The students, young eTwinners under the guidance of their teachers, designed and implemented commendable actions encouraging reading, empathy, solidarity, caring for others, caring for the environment and the importance of community in society. The project activity is registered on the Good Deeds Day website. Since all the actions were designed under the auspices of the project, the desire was to present them as a whole. This was possible only if all actions were registered in one volunteer center. The volunteer center VolonterKA was chosen. The Center supported us and promised to report the actions. In addition to the registration of actions, the students also received commemorative T-shirts to mark the Day of Doing Good Deeds.

Students members of the project The green changemakers from the Technical School Karlovac volunteered in the Association Jak kao Jakov. The main goal of the Jak as Jakov Association is to help children suffering from and treated for malignant diseases and their socially endangered families. The association was founded in memory of Jacob Rubido, a 13-year-old boy who suffered and struggled with severe leukemia. In agreement with Mrs. Ivančica Rubido, founder and leader of the Association, it was decided that the students will prepare Easter greeting cards which, along with other works created by volunteers, will be sold as part of the Easter in the Heart campaign. With the aim of good preparation, first ideas were recorded, sample copies of greeting cards were made, and then the necessary material was procured. The students made greeting cards at school. It was interesting to see how the students share tasks with each other and how each of them does what he thinks is most skillful. It was decided to make 100 greeting cards, which the students succeeded in doing. Ms. Rubido then invited the students and their teacher to the Association. She introduced them to the activities and goals of the Association. At the same time, she told them about volunteerism, the importance of volunteering and doing good deeds, and she tried to encourage them to think and, depending on their desires and abilities, become volunteers. The visit was very interesting for the students. They presented congratulations to Ms. Rubido and wished her a successful implementation of the Easter in the Heart campaign.

The team of youth of the Red Cross of Vukovar Gymnasium, young eTwinners, as part of the project "The green changemakers" this year will mark the World Day of the Red Cross and red crescent with a special program – 08 May 2022. The program consists of educations and short quizzes about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the Croatian Red Cross, international humanitarian law and human rights, as well as demonstrations of knowledge and skills in first aid.&nbsp;The Programme aims to contribute to the achievement of the 3rd Global Sustainable Development Goal – Health, with the contribution reflected in ensuring healthy living and&nbsp;promoting well-being for people of all generations.&nbsp;The program will be implemented throughout the week in classmates' classes and in the school area so that as many interested students as possible are able to participate in the event and the introductory video is already ready&nbsp;😊 First aid training for first aid learners is carried out with the aim of preparing as many students as possible to provide first aid in unwanted situations of injury and illness in everyday life as well as in the event of disasters. These activities aim to encourage young people to act responsibly in order to prevent accidents and injuries, contribute to the safety of the community and empower individuals and entire communities to help overcome the harmful consequences of accidents and diseases. Participants of the event will be able to implement the acquired knowledge and skills for their own good and the well-being of the whole society, and through socializing and shared learning, feelings of humanity, tolerance, compassion and responsibility for themselves and the community spread.&nbsp;eTwinners submitted their programme for #EYY2022 to highlight together with young people across Europe the important role of young people in building a better, greener, more inclusive and more digital future. Through the program, the youth team wants to achieve an extremely important goal, which is to educate young people and improve the national first aid doctrine and motivate young people for safe and humanitarian action in the community.

Na ovogodišnji donacijski natječaj Instituta za razvoj i inovativnost mladih pod nazivom Junior Engineer Academy mogle su se,&nbsp;osim strukovnih škola,&nbsp;po prvi puta prijaviti i gimnazije te je oformljen suradnički tim vukovarske gimnazije sačinjen od učenika 2. razreda prirodoslovno-matematičkog usmjerenja, ujedno i članova eTwinning projekta The green changemakers, u sastavu&nbsp;Blanka Bučko, Fran Hutinec, Hrvoje Sovar i Lara Šijanović.&nbsp; U projektu Junior Engineer Academy 2.0 sudjelovalo je 25 srednjih škola iz Republike Hrvatske koje su ukupno prijavile 29 projekata a projekt Vukovarski vodotoranj osvojio je izvrsno treće mjesto. Vukovarski gimnazijalci svojim radom i znanjem trude se doprinijeti podizanju kvalitete života mladih na području grada Vukovara a kroz brojne projektne suradnje kontinuirano se uključuju u procese izgradnje bolje, zelenije, uključivije i digitalnije budućnosti. Projektna je aktivnost učenicima&nbsp;omogućila porast razine samopouzdanja u vlastite snage kao i pronalaženje vlastitih odgovora i rješenja za aktualne društvene probleme i izazove. Cjelokupnu realizaciju praktičnog STEM projekta podijelili su sa svojim vršnjacima u sklopu međunarodnog eTwinning projekta a zahvaljujući projektno orijentiranom učenju i interdisciplinarnosti,&nbsp;projektna je aktivnost potaknula interes sudionika projekta za upoznavanjem grada Vukovara i Republike Hrvatske. Kao takva, ne samo da je doprinijela razvoju vještina u području najbrže rastuće internetske tehnologije današnjice već i razumijevanju sadašnjosti te stjecanju znanja za upućeno i aktivno sudjelovanje u društvu kao građana lokalne zajednice, Hrvatske, Europe i svijeta.

World Day of Good Deeds was launched by the international organization Good Deeds Day 16&nbsp;years ago in Israel with 7,000 volunteers and today it is a global event and&nbsp;a real&nbsp;world event of solidarity and promotion of volunteering that is celebrated in 108 countries around the world. In Croatia, it was first marked on April 3, 2022, and associations engaged in volunteering activities, as well as citizens with individual or group volunteering activities, could be involved. As part of the international etwinning project "The green changemakers", an activity was carried out #GoodDeedsDay whereby students, young eTwinners under the guidance of their teachers, designed and implemented laudable actions encouraging a tendency towards reading, empathy, solidarity, caring for others, caring for&nbsp;the environment and&nbsp;the importance of community in society. The project activity is registered on the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.good-deeds-day.org/organize/">Good Deeds Day</a>&nbsp;page. Aware of their own responsibility, the students of vukovar gymnasium in partnership with students from the Technical School Karlovac, Industrial Mechanical Engineering School Zagreb, and with the students of the anadolia school Yunus Emre from Bingola from Turkey and Karmirgyugh N1 secondary school, Karmirgyugh from Armenia, wanted to actively contribute to the celebration of the World Day of Doing The and&nbsp;therefore participated in effective local actions and thus joined the drivers of global change with the aim of creating positive change in their community and in our world. Thus, the participants of the project from the Vukovar Gymnasium created the Open-Air Library – a book house&nbsp;with the aim of developing a culture of reading and reading literacy through increasing the availability of books and various reading materials. The open-air library, located in the courtyard of the school and operates on the principle of Borrow, read, return or/and donate the book whereby the squawk can borrow the book just like enrich it with one of his books.&nbsp;The project was recognized by the Society of Croatian Writers of Sisak-Moslavina County, which, with its valuable and rich donation, opened the Library to the public.&nbsp;Booksellers Sinisa Matasovic, Sanja Domenuš, Denis Vidović and Željko Maljevac, with their visit and donation of books, opened new&nbsp;spaces for new collaborations in promoting a penchant for reading.&nbsp;The donations were joined by academician, Croatian writer, literary theorist, translator, screenwriter and vukovar native Pavao Pavličić and Croatian writer and university professor Julijana Matanović, giving away their outstanding works: The Boat of Water, Why I Lied to You, Coral Gate and The Evening Act.&nbsp;This activity is designed with the aim of promoting a preference for reading, the importance of the written word just like the importance of communion in society. The open-air library&nbsp;is&nbsp;registered in the register and on the map of small free libraries of Croatia and all interested citizens are invited to take a peek at the newly opened Library and find the contents that&nbsp;interest them!&nbsp;

Snimka je imala za cilj potaknuti želju za učenjem o humanoj tehnologiji koja olakšava život djeci s teškoćama u razvoju i osobama s invaliditetom te istraživanje područja asistivne tehnologije.&nbsp; Scenarij poučavanja&nbsp;Pristupačnost digitalne tehnologije osobama s posebnim potrebama&nbsp;razrađen je kroz tri sveobuhvatne aktivnosti. Prva aktivnost podrazumijeva dobavu teksta i upoznavanje sa asistivnim tehnologijama koje olakšavaju život osobama s teškoćama u razvoju. Druga aktivnost podrazumijeva pronalazak fotografija i video zapisa koji&nbsp;&nbsp;zorno opisuju izgled i način primjene odabranih, konkretnih, digitalnih tehnologija. Treća aktivnost podrazumijeva završno oblikovanje dokumenta koje, osim uređivanja sadržaja, podrazumijeva i oblikovanje&nbsp;popisa označenih fotografija, bibliografiju i tablicu sadržaja. Our&nbsp;contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

Technical Vocational School Karlovac dedicated the last day of the first semester to charitable activities and helping the local community. They worked in accordance with the project goals and Sustainable Development Goals and collected second-hand clothes which we donated to "Korak", a local non-profit organization which runs a safe house for victims of domestic violence and provides legal aid and psychological support. The donation was accepted by Ms. Dragnina Mandić Jakšić. They hope their effort brings some joy to the safe house users this Holiday Season.

The project was shortlisted for the "Green Transition: Education, Training and Skills" award among the ten finalists between whom the&nbsp;winner was chosen&nbsp;by public glasanj.&nbsp;In the final, along with Croatia,&nbsp;projects from the Netherlands, Jordan, Moldova, Ireland, Albania, Georgia, Kenya and Nigeria&nbsp;found their place. All shortlisted eset projects are profiledand are on the ETF website, each supported by video produced by the ETF.&nbsp;&nbsp;The public vote opened on May 13, and by the time it closed on June 5,&nbsp;3,769 votes had been collected while&nbsp;the video track&nbsp;Green Skills Award 2022 Finalist: Croatia - The Green Changemakers&nbsp;had more than 500 views.&nbsp;On 9 June 2022, eTwinning project&nbsp;The green changemakers&nbsp;was declared the winning project. Second place went to Nigeria's&nbsp;Operation Skill Them Up&nbsp;project, while third place went to a project from Kenya's&nbsp;Don Bosco Tech Africa. The green changemakers&nbsp;project involves 83 students and 15 teachers from five schools and three states. On the territory of the Republic of Croatia, along with the project promoters of the Vukovar Gymnasium and the Karlovac Technical School, the Industrial Mechanical Engineering School Zagreb is involved, while myinternational partnership is realized in cooperation with the Anadolia School Yunus Emre from Bingol, Turkey and the Karmirgyugh N1 secondary school, Karmirgyugh, Armenia. By jointly designing and elaborating on topics, ideas and activities, we have created a project through which we have integrated connectivity, action and well-being into a whole suitable for successful and applicable learning and teaching about sustainable development in the 21st century. With their work and activities in the immediate environment as well as achievements, our students have shown that they are ready to actively disseminate and apply suitable knowledge and skills for sustainable living, just as they are aware of responsibilities and rights in achieving well-being for all people, the environment and future generations.

Učenici vukovarske gimnazije demonstrirali su primjenu tehnologije u službi očuvanja i promoviranja kulturne baštine te su izradili IoT model vukovarskog vodotornja. U sklopu međunarodnog eTwinning projekta The green changemakers izradili su IoT model vukovarskog vodotornja koji na autentičan način nastavlja čuvati sjećanja na hrabre ljude i ratnu prošlost Grada Heroja jednako kao i što odašilje poruku da je Vukovar grad okrenut budućnosti i svima koji u njemu žele živjeti, raditi, stvarati, svima koji žele biti dijelom te budućnosti. Ovaj projekt predstavlja spoj ponosne prošlosti i perspektivne budućnosti!&nbsp;Cilj projekta je očuvanje kulturne baštine koja pruža i jača osjećaj identiteta istovremeno promičući poštovanje za kulturnu raznolikost i ljudsku kreativnost.&nbsp;Svojim radom i znanjem učenici žele doprinijeti podizanju kvalitete života mladih na području grada Vukovara i motivirati svoje vršnjake u izgradnji bolje, zelenije, uključivije i digitalnije budućnosti. The students of Gymnasium Vukovar demonstrated the application of technology in the service of preserving and promoting cultural heritage and created the IoT model of the Vukovar water tower. As part of the international eTwinning project The green changemakers have created an IoT model of the Vukovar water tower, which in an authentic way continues to preserve memories of the brave people and the wartime past of the City of Hero as well as that it sends the message that Vukovar is&nbsp;a city oriented towards the future and to all who want to live, work, create in it, to all who want to be part of that future. This project represents a combination of a proud past and a promising future!&nbsp;The aim of the project is to preserve cultural heritage that provides and strengthens the sense of identity while promoting respect for cultural diversity and human creativity.&nbsp;With their work and knowledge, the students want to contribute to raising the quality of life of young people in the Vukovar area and motivate their peers in building a better, greener, more inclusive and more digital future. Although&nbsp;winter feeding to birds is most necessary, food shortages can occur at any time of the year.&nbsp;By crushing them all year round, we will give them a better opportunity to survive food shortages regardless of the time of year. It is therefore important to act in line with SDG 15 and to preserve life on earth by ensuring the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and preventing the destruction of biodiversity. Vukovar High School student Katarina Jovakarić created a wooden eco-feeder for birds and placed it in the school yard.&nbsp;The bird feeder has become not only&nbsp;an ornament&nbsp;of the naše schoolyard, but also a shelter for birds during long and difficult winter periods.&nbsp;Thanks to Katarina for the idea, realization because besides making it easier for the birds to survive, she allowed us at school to enjoy the most beautiful icing of nature!

February 19 has been declared Book Donation Day in Armenia since 2008. The participants of our project actively participated in an interesting and meaningful lesson in the library, dedicated to Book Donation Day. The students presented the book's advice, uttered words about the book, and at the end they presented books to each other by drawing lots, reciting one of the great Tumanyan's quatrains.

The concept of a 'World Oceans Day' was first proposed in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro as a way to celebrate our world's shared ocean and our personal connection to the sea, as well as to raise awareness about the crucial role the ocean plays in our lives and the important ways people can help protect it. The United Nations will highlight the theme Revitalisation: Collective Action for the Ocean on World Oceans Day, on June 8, 2022. Among them are thousands of non-migratory birds.In most Croatian regions the ground is frozen. To maintain the right body temperature, birds need to ingest a lot more food than in the warmer seasons, but unfortunately finding it is not easy. Ingredients - fat - polenta - bird food - seeds - net (for example, used for citrus fruits). Preparation polenta and bird food into the fat. Put on gloves and shape the mixture into a ball. Then place the shaped mixture in a net and tie. The energy source is ready :)

U organizaciji Agencije za mobilnost i programe Europske unije (AMPEU) i eTwinning ambasadorica Ane Marketin-Sedlar i Daniele Usmiani, 17. lipnja 2022. održan je webinar pod nazivom ''eTwinning u A, B, C modelima poučavanja - inspiracija za odgojno-obrazovne djelatnike u osnovnim i srednjim školama''. Industrijsku strojarsku školu predstavljali su nastavnik Josip Filić i voditeljica praktične nastave Kristinka Lemaić, a gost predavač bila je i Vesna Plenča iz Tehničke škole za strojarstvo i mehatroniku, Split. Predavači su prezentiranjem provedenih eTwinningovih projekata kroz praktičnu i teorijsku nastavu struke pokazali na koji način eTwinningova platforma obogaćuje samu nastavu te osnažuje struku. Sudionici webinara iz svih dijelova Hrvatske mogli su saznati da je cilj projekta na inovativan način izraditi i provesti programe obrazovanja za održivi razvoj kroz razvoj kompetencija i aktivno sudjelovanje učenika u području održivog razvoja, a sve to uz osnaživanje partnerstva škola i lokalne zajednice u podizanju svijesti o održivom razvoju. O svim provedenim aktivnostima sudionici webinara mogli su se informirati tijekom predavanja nastavnika Filića i voditeljice Lemaić. Ivanić-Grad sedmi je put bio centar inovacija i inovativnog poduzetništva mladih u okviru kojeg se predstavljaju nadarena djeca i mladi, inovatori i poduzetnici kako bi razmijenili ideje i iskustva te predstavili najnovije projekte i inovacije. Nakon dvogodišnje pandemijske pauze, Elektronički i računalni klub u suradnji s partnerima organizirao je sedmu Izložbu inovacija I³G koja se održala 19. i 20. svibnja 2022. godine u sportskoj dvorani Srednje škole “Ivan Švear” u Ivanić-Gradu. Na nacionalnoj izložbi inovacija mladih u Ivanić-Gradu i ove su godine predstavljene ideje, projekti, inovacije te završni radovi učenika iz srednjih strukovnih škola i studenata tehničkih i drugih fakulteta iz cijele Hrvatske, a sudjelovali su i učenici osnovnih škola iz Zagrebačke županije. Predstavili su se i već afirmirani poduzetnici i inovatori, a u okviru izložbe održao se zanimljiv popratni program predavanja te radionica iz područja tehničke kulture za osnovnoškolce i djecu vrtićkog uzrasta. Izložba se održavala pod pokroviteljstvom Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja, Zagrebačke županije i Grada Ivanić-Grada te u suradnji sa Zajednicom tehničke kulture Zagrebačke županije, Hrvatskom zajednicom inovatora i Srednjom školom “Ivan Švear” iz Ivanić-Grada. Učenik Industrijske strojarske Luka Dermišek škole vrijedno je i predano prezentirao rad drobilice svim posjetiteljima Izložbe inovacija I³G među kojima je, osim odraslih, bilo mnogo djece i mladih iz svih dijelova Hrvatske.&nbsp;Sudjelovanje u eTwinning projektu The green changemakers&nbsp;potaknulo je učenika Luku Dermišeka da temeljito prouči način izrade i rada drobilice kako bi i na taj način doprinio ciljevima održivog razvoja.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Luka je Prosudbenom povjerenstvu izložio način izrade drobilice za plastiku služeći se pri tome Elaboratom o izradi drobilice za plastiku te video prikazom izrade i rada drobilice. Prosudbeno povjerenstvo nagradilo je Luku Dermišeka brončanom medaljom na radost njegovih mentora nastavnika Josipa Filića i&nbsp;voditeljice praktične nastave Kristinke Lemaić te svih djelatnika Industrijske strojarske škole.

Association for Nature and Environmental Protection "Plant a tree, don't be a stump!" is organizing tree planting campaigns at a local, regional and national level in the Republic of Croatia. After successfully participating in the national campaign "The Week of planting trees collectively in Croatia in 2021 ”, students and teachers of the Industrial Mechanical Engineering schools, Zagreb joined in the campaign "3… 2… 1 WE ARE PLANTING”&nbsp;in early November 2021. They planted more seedlings of apples, pears, cherries and sour cherries in the school yard. Aware of the need to act in the race against the climate crisis, students and teachers of Industrial Schools of Mechanical Engineering (ISŠ) gladly respond to the call to act in the race with climate crisis and thus raise environmental awareness and confirm social and environmental responsibility to help implement strategies of mitigation of consequences of climate change according to EU standards. The goal of participating in the campaign is to give the possibility for students to be the result of adaptation, change, resilience and performance in relation to environmental challenges. The aim is also to support revitalization of urban green spaces in the city to reduce impacts of heat waves by preserving them. In a globalized world that is changing fast, standing still is the fastest way to move backwards. By planting fruit seedlings in the yard of the ISŠ, the students gave their contribution to reduction of consequences of climate change hoping that fruit trees that are planted in the campaign "3… 2… 1 PLANT" become as green as those from the campaign "The Week of planting trees collectively in Croatia in 2021 ”. Introducing an insect hotel. You may not even be aware of how important insects really are in our nature, and we need to take care of them. Building a hotel is very simple. We decided to meet in the schoolyard after school to start building a hotel. We first sketched the construction and then we chose the size so that we could prepare the rest of the material. After sketching, we made a wooden structure that looks like a small house. We divided the inside of the hotel with horizontal shelves and made a cross-section in the middle, and we started to fill the space. We filled the space with old pieces of brick, pieces of wood, various twigs, straw, cones, sawdust, and wood pallets. The last step was to put a protective wire over the hotel so that everything we put inside stays there. The hotel is located in the courtyard of the Vukovar Gymnasium. The hotel was designed by Antonija Milić, professor of chemistry, and Katarina Jovakarić, student. Gymnasium Vukovar is also an Eco-school, which has a diamond status, and we are trying to make as many students as possible aware of the importance of nature protection, and we are still planning! The hotel is another activity that has been done successfully and we can say that we are very proud.

On April 5, a meeting with the students of Karmirgyugh N1 secondary school of Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia took place at ANAU. During the meeting, the specialists presented the professions and educational programs offered by the faculties, laboratories, and the advantages of studying at the university. The students were encouraged by the reforms of the university and the educational opportunities that will help them to make the right professional orientation.

On May 16, 2022, the teacher of the mechanical engineering Josip Filić and the head of practical classes Kristinka Lemaić held a presentation entitled “International eTwinning project as part of the profession”. The presentation was held as part of the European Week of Skills in Vocational Education and Training organized by the Agency for Vocational and Adult Education, Senior Expert Advisor Damir Zvonar in collaboration with teacher advisor Ana Marketin Sedlar from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Traffic in Varaždin. In their presentation, the teachers showed how the students of the Industrial Engineering School, Zagreb, by participating in the international eTwinning project "The green changemakers" developed their key competencies and how they actively participate in the challenges of sustainable development. Teachers also showed examples of connecting eTwinning with vocational skills and talked about how students made a plastic shredder and bookcases - small free libraries. These are the works that brought the School the status of the first high school ekoLucionar in the competition "ekoLucija 101" portal srednja.hr and praise from the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. Teachers also presented collaborative activities that contribute to the goals of sustainable development. The presentation was attended by about thirty teachers of the Education Sector Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding and Metallurgy.

eTwinneri - prijatelji djece u prometu Mladi etwinneri odlučni su u preuzimanju odgovornosti u politikama na nacionalnoj i lokalnoj razini radi postizanja niza ciljeva održivog razvoja, uključujući ciljeve u zdravstvu, obrazovanju, infrastrukturi, održivim gradovima, klimatskim akcijama i partnerstvima. Svoju potporu u stvaranju sigurnog prometa i sigurnih gradova, ostvarili su sudjelovanjem na 4. Državnom natjecanju u poznavanju prometnih propisa putem Prometne Učilice. Natjecanje se provodi u sklopu Nacionalnog plana sigurnosti cestovnog prometa Republike Hrvatske za razdoblje od 2021. do 2030. godine u okviru preventivno edukativnih programa s ciljem poboljšanja ukupnog stanja sigurnosti cestovnog prometa i smanjenje broja stradavanja djece u prometu što je u skladu sa globalnim ciljem 3.6 a to je prepoloviti broj smrtno stradalih i ozlijeđenih u cestovnom prometu. Natjecanje organizira i provodi Ministarstvo unutarnjih poslova Republike Hrvatske u suradnji s Ministarstvom znanosti i obrazovanja, CARNet-om i Moj Telekom d.o.o. (nositelj prava za Prometnu Učilicu). Prometne nesreće vodeći su uzročnik smrti djece i mladih u dobi od 5 do 29 godina, a osmi uzročnik smrti na svijetu za osobe svih dobnih skupina. Iako Republika Hrvatska&nbsp;posljednjih godina bilježi trend pada smrtnosti od prometnih nesreća i dalje je potrebna sustavna edukacija radi povećanja sigurnosti u prometu. Mladi sudionici prometa svojim stavovima i prihvatljivim i propisnim ponašanjima svakodnevno sudjeluju u stvaranju opće kulture sigurnog prometa. A kako bi kao sudionici prometa poboljšali svoja znanja i vještine i podigli razinu sigurnosti i odgovornosti za sebe i druge, u natjecanje u poznavanju prometnih propisa uključili su se i mladi eTwinneri u sklopu projekta The green changemakers. U svojim školama potaknuli su i svoje vršnjake te su sve tri škole iz Republike Hrvatske, sudionice projekta The green changemakers sudjelovale u natjecanju, pri čemu su ostvarile izvrsne rezultate. Tako je Gimnazija Vukovar osvojila 3. mjesto, Industrijska strojarska škola 6. mjesto a Tehnička škola Karlovac 7. mjesto. Tri su nastavnice - članice eTwinning projekta, pri tome nagrađene za doprinos u promicanju prometne kulture i poželjnog ponašanja u prometu kod učenika srednjih škola. Nastavnice Iva Bojčić iz Industrijsko strojarske škole Zagreb, Sanda Šutalo iz Tehničke škole Karlovac i Sanja Pavlović Šijanović iz Gimnazije Vukovar, za svoj su doprinos zavrijedile i osvojile plaketu "Prijatelj djece u prometu" za školsku godinu 2021./2022. Natjecanje u poznavanju prometnih propisa putem Prometne Učilice pridonosi stjecanju odgovarajućeg prometnog znanja, prometne kulture i temeljnih načela pravilnog ponašanja u prometu uz međusobno uvažavanje i tolerantnost prema drugim sudionicima prometa. Ujedno usmjerava i potiče na savjesno i odgovorno ponašanje mladih u prometu sa ciljem povećanja sigurnosti cestovnog prometa i smanjenja broja stradalih u prometu. Sudjelovanjem u ovom natjecanju, mladi su eTwinneri, zajedno sa svojim vršnjacima, produbili postojeća te stekli nova znanja baš kao i prijeko potrebnu sigurnost u poznavanju i primjeni prometnih pravila i propisa. Osnaženi u poželjnom i ispravnom načinu sudjelovanja u prometu, (p)ostaju savjesni i odgovorni prometni sudionici koji vlastitim primjerom promiču prometnu kulturu jer prometna kultura svakog pojedinca oblikuje svakodnevicu svakog pojedinog prometnog područja. U uvjetima svakodnevnog rasta stupnja motorizacije a time i količine i intenziteta prometa, prometni odgoj djece i mladih ima sve veću važnost. Stoga su nastavnici okupljeni unutar eTwinning projekta, odlučili mladim eTwinnerima osigurati aktivnost u sklopu koje su predstavili interaktivnu web aplikaciju za učenje i provjeru znanja iz prometnih propisa i na taj ih način potaknuli na prometnu osviještenost. Ostvareni&nbsp;rezultati pokazatelj su i potrebe i želje mladih da nauče ne kako preživjeti već kako sigurno živjeti u svakodnevnim prometnim situacijama.

Započeli smo sa izradom tehnološkog rješenja „The green changemakers park“ – naše vizije održivog razvoja izradom zelenih tehnologija. Odlučili smo se za izradu modela, koji će biti potpuno funkcionalan te će prikazivati 5 mini projekata međusobno povezanih. Nastojanje je prezentirati korištenje prirodnih izvora energije – Sunce, zrak (vjetar), voda u svrhu pretvaranja istih iz kinetičke u električnu energiju. Osim toga, uz obnovljive izvore energije prikazat ćemo i način pametnog razvrstavanja i recikliranja otpada.&nbsp;

Natječaj za najbolji srednjoškolski rad 

Tijekom mjeseca svibnja Fakultet za odgojne i obrazovne znanosti Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku, objavio je Natječaj za najbolji rad srednjoškolaca „Obrazujemo (za) budućnost“ te pozvao srednjoškolce iz Osječko-baranjske, Vukovarsko-srijemske, Brodsko-posavske, Požeško-slavonske i Virovitičko-podravske županije na prijavu radova koji promiču kreativnost i interdisciplinarnost. Prijavljeni radovi trebali su biti spoj sadržaja jednog ili više nastavnih predmeta iz različitih znanstvenih i/ili umjetničkih područja pri čemu je sadržaj teme ostavljen na izbor zainteresiranim učenicima. Budući se vukovarski gimnazijalci svojim radom i znanjem trude doprinijeti podizanju kvalitete života mladih na području grada Vukovara te se kroz brojne projektne suradnje kontinuirano uključuju u procese izgradnje bolje, zelenije, uključivije i digitalnije budućnosti, spremno su prihvatili poziv i na natječaj su prijavili dva rada: Tehnologija u službi očuvanja i promoviranja kulturne baštine - vukovarski vodotoranj i IoT4SDGs. Projekt “Tehnologija u službi očuvanja i promoviranja kulturne baštine – Vukovarski vodotoranj” osvojio je prvo mjesto čime je ponio titulu najboljeg srednjoškolskog rada dok je projekt „IoT4SDGs“ osvojio drugo mjesto na Natječaju za najbolji rad Srednjoškolaca.

Učenici novinarske sekcije Industrijske strojarske škole&nbsp;iz&nbsp;Zagreba i ove godine&nbsp;objavili su školske novine “Modul” namijenjene svim sadašnjim i bivšim učenicima, prijateljima škole kao i učenicima osmih razreda čiji odabir će biti baš njihova škola. Novinari Industrijske strojarske škole, od kojih su mnogi članovi eTwinning projekta „The green changemakers“&nbsp;opisali su događanja koja su obilježila nastavnu godinu 2021./2022.&nbsp;pa tako i svoje sudjelovanje u eTwinning projektu.&nbsp;Nastavnica Hrvatskoga jezika prof.&nbsp;Iva Bojčić, osim što je članica eTwinning projekta The green changemakers“,&nbsp;već nekoliko godina voditeljica je novinarske sekcije koju je zamislila i ostvarila kao učeničku platformu za vježbanje novinarstva. Prof. Bojčić vrijedno i kreativno organizira i usmjerava novinarski tim te ih je okupljala tijekom&nbsp;cijele nastavne godine. Ističe da se&nbsp;uvijek iznova pokazuje&nbsp;da su učenici savjesni, dosljedni, inovativni, željni novih izazova i da se na njih može računati. Prof. Bojčić s ponosom ističe da je zadovoljna rezultatom zajedničkog rada, podrškom uređivačkog odbora među kojima su i nastavnici eTwinneri Josip Filić, Ivana Macan i Kristinka Lemaić&nbsp;te sjajnim kritikama čitatelja. A Croatian-led international project involving primary and secondary schools in Croatia, Armenia and Turkey – the Green Changemakers – was named the winner of the ETF’s Green Skills Awards 2022. The group of five primary and secondary schools installs environmental awareness in youngsters across 17 key sustainable development goals designed to address the needs of the green and digital transition. Schools in Vukovar, Karlovac, and Zagreb log daily and weekly activities, along with counterparts in Turkey and Armenia. Focused on goals that include no poverty, zero hunger and good health and well-being, as well as quality education, gender quality, and good sanitation, students design a range of projects that inculcate green awareness from the earliest age. Broad and deep, the goals include installing an appreciation of the need for decent work, responsible consumption, and affordable, clean energy in all areas of life. One of ten finalists from a field of 64 applicants, the project attracted 1,650 of the more than 3,700 public votes cast in the competition. Students of the Industrial School of Mechanical Engineering (ISŠ) marked the Year of Reading with many activities, and given that ISŠ is a vocational school and learning is based on actual work, at the suggestion of Ksenija Banović, senior expert advisor of the Agency for vocational and adult education and our Croatian language teacher Iva Bojčić and with the mentorship of vocational teachers Slaven Kuhar and Silvio Terze, made a small free library - a house for books that works on the borrow,read, return or/and donate a book principle! The students, in collaboration with Marijana Spevec Sinković from Libraries of the City of Zagreb Novi Zagreb, located in Dugave, managed to place the small free library in Dugave at Ulica svetog Mateja 7. The year 2021 was declared the Year of Reading, and that decision was made by the Croatian government at the proposal of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia within the action plan of the National Strategy for the Promotion of Reading with the aim of developing a culture of reading and reading literacy, involving all segments of society in reading with pleasure, understanding and critical thinking and increasing the availability of books and a variety of reading materials. Reaching out to the reader, to the very heart of the community is the mission of the Year of Reading, as well as all writers, librarians, booksellers and all who advocate reading. With this project, students and staff of ISŠ wanted to emphasize the importance of the written word, make the book accessible to all and encourage citizens to read. In the frame of the UNDP-GCF Armenia's National Adaptation Plan (NAP) project we continue raising awareness on climate change and adaptation related issues and strengthening adaptation capacity among young people. "Adapting to climate change: from idea to results” a three-day training session, organized in the frame of NAP project in cooperation with Impact Hub Yerevan, aimed at at deepening participants' knowledge on climate change and adaptation as well as at building the capacity of schoolchildren and teachers to develop and implement climate change adaptation related projects. During the training, participants were introduced to climate change trends and impacts in Armenia, current and forecasted risks, available adaptation measures in vulnerable sectors, Sustainable Development Goals. They also acquired project and business proposal development, presentation, budgeting, promotion, target audience oriented communication channel selection, photoshooting, video making, photo and video storytelling skills.

The World Day of Good Deeds, which is celebrated on April 3 under the auspices of the organization "Good Deeds Day", was also marked by the students of the Industrial Engineering School in Zagreb within the international eTwinning project "The green changemakers". The teachers suggested, and the students decided in which action they want to participate and mark this important event. The students chose to visit the Home for the Elderly Sveta Ana in Zagreb and were thrilled with the choice of action. The reasons for visiting this important institution are understanding and compassion for the elderly that our students have built and developed in their families. After a kind welcome from the director Mrs. Karolina Martinuš and the leader Mrs. Smilja Matijašević, who introduced us to the users of the home, the socializing and personal acquaintance of students and users began. They complemented their conversations and socializing by playing board games that the students decided to donate as well as books that marked their childhood. In addition to the games, interesting stories from his youth and interesting events from his life could be heard, which these cordial and warm people gladly remember. In addition to interesting stories from the past, our students could hear some advice, just as these cheerful and well-meaning people would give to their grandchildren. And at the end of this interesting gathering, one of our hosts repeated the famous proverb that reads: "If youth knew what it could, and old age could know what", which we understood as an open invitation to socialize on other days of the year. We need to do good deeds every day, good deeds are not necessarily material, good deeds are both time and "ear" for listening, just as our students today have shown by their example.

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 to strengthen people's awareness of the natural environment. Various events and actions aim to draw people's attention to the dangers that threaten life on Earth due to the rise of global pollution and to encourage them to raise awareness of the problem of environmental pollution. We decided to conduct a workshop on making cloth bags from old T-shirts! Only one bag made from an old T-shirt replaces up to 1,000 plastic bags, and a man can save over 22,000 plastic bags only if he opts for an environmental alternative. What does it take to make homemade bags? 1. Old T-shirt 2. Thread 3. Needle 4. Scissors 5. Pleasure 6. Imagination The workshop was invited by all interested parties who wanted to contribute with their creativity to the 11th Global Sustainable Development Goal - To make cities and settlements inclusive, safe, adaptable and sustainable and global goal 12 - To ensure sustainable forms of consumption and production. What we were doing – we turned the old T-shirts and from the inside the bottom edges of the shirt cut into strips 1-2 cm wide, which we then tied into small knots and thus made the bottom of the bag.&nbsp;We held off the sleeves and for the beautifully trimmed handles, we folded the material where it was cut and even zigzagged with a seam stitched up.&nbsp;And that's it, when you paint the T-shirt-bag on the right side, leave it to the imagination to do its part. Homemade green bags are practical, environmentally friendly and durable. Events taking place around the world on Earth Day support environmental protection, aiming to unite and make people from all over the world aware of the importance of environmental topics and issues such as pollution, conflict, poverty and war. Our Earth Day activity highlights the need to create green cities, be aware of climate change, the impact and consequences of plastic pollution, and an understanding of the fact that children, footwear and domestic textile products contribute to water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and landfilling. International Book Donation Day is celebrated on February 14, and the tradition was started by children's author Amy Broadmoore in 2012 with the aim of stimulating children's and adults' interest in reading. Librarians, kindergartens, associations, institutions and individuals celebrate this day by organizing the donation of books under the motto "I read, I give, I am happy - donate your book and make someone else's heart happy." The Industrial Engineering School has had a great collaboration with the librarian Marijana Spevec Sinković from the City Library in Dugave since the Day of St. Lucija in 2021, when the students and teachers of the School of Librarians donated the Book House, a small free library called Luca. On the International Book Donation Day, librarian Marijana Spevec Sinković visited the School and on behalf of the City Library from Dugave to students Nikola Maretić and Karel Pavlečić who in the eTwinning project "The green changemakers" handed over a handful of books to enrich the Book House located in front of the school. . Outside the school building, we (Gymnasium Vukovar, Croatia) planted saffron bulbs in memory of a million and a half Jewish children and thousands of other children who died during the Holocaust. The aim of the activity is to raise students' awareness of the dangers of discrimination, prejudice and racism, symbolically sending a message of hope for a better tomorrow by planting saffron and sprouting them. By involving students in planting bulbs and watching flowers grow, we encourage continuous learning&nbsp;about the importance of tolerance and respect. The yellow flowers resemble the yellow stars of David that Jews were forced to wear under Nazi rule.&nbsp;Saffron blooms in late January or early February, around the time of International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27). Our desire is to enable students to build a firm attitude and to actively spread beliefs of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in diversity that ennobles the environment in which they live. The UN resolution urged countries to "develop educational programmes to teach future generations so that they can convey the lessons of the Holocaust in order to prevent future acts of genocide."&nbsp;It states that the UN condemns without reservation all manifestations of religious intolerance, incitement, harassment or violence against persons or communities based on ethnic or religious&nbsp;origin belief, wherever they arise. With this activity, we contribute to achieving the SDGs: we ensure quality education for children and young people (Goal 4), reduce inequality (Goal 10), participate in the preservation of life on earth (Goal 15) and ensure peace, justice and strong institutions (Objective 16). U projektu “IoT4SDGs” izgrađen je sustav za praćenje polja usjeva uz pomoć senzora za svjetlo, temperaturu, vlažnost tla i zraka pri čemu poljoprivrednici mogu pratiti uvjete na terenu s bilo kojeg mjesta. Ovi senzori pružaju podatke koji pomažu ne samo u praćenju već i u optimiziranju usjeva prilagođavajući se promjenama u uvjetima okoliša. IoT povezivost omogućuje svim vrstama fizičkih senzora izravno slanje podataka na virtualne nadzorne ploče bez ljudske interakcije. Senzori koji se koriste unutar IoT uređaja namijenjeni su otkrivanju, mjerenju i izvješćivanju jedne po jedne varijable u stvarnom svijetu i vremenu. Na taj način pomažu u razumijevanju svega oko nas oko nas na mjerljiv i univerzalan način.&nbsp;Za najmlađe su posjetitelje, vukovarske gimnazijalke pripremile online SDGs&nbsp;EscapeRoom, slagalice i igre putem kojih su djeca mogla osvijestiti i razvijati osnovne vrijednosti za održivi razvoj i održivo ponašanje dok je prepoznavanje i uparivanje SDG kockica poticalo dječju znatiželju i istraživački duh koji će možda tijekom godina dovesti i do smišljanja mogućih tehnoloških rješenja izazova održivosti. Tehnološko rješenje pruža podršku svakom poljoprivredniku, OPGu ili poljoprivrednoj industriji u vidu praćenja, automatizacije i analize podataka pomoću IoTa s ciljem upravljanja poljoprivrednim površinama uz uštedu vremena, novca, resursa poput vode i struje kao i očuvanja ekosustava.

Our partners from Armenia actively participated in the final round of the school competition "Resisting Climate Change" organized within the UNDP / CSF program "National Adaptation Program to Improve Medium- and Long-Term Adaptation Planning in Armenia". The seminar was attended by 3 students of the school who showed the best results in the competition (Meline Mardoyan, Milena Navoyan, Meri Davityan) and teacher Hasmik Umrshatyan. Međunarodna znanstvena konferencija EDUizziv/ EDUchallenge 2022. pod nazivom „Izzivi poučevanja in vrednovanja znanja”/"Teaching Challenges and&nbsp;Evaluation of Knowledge", održana je u vremenskom periodu od 27. do 29. lipnja 2022. Konferencija je u fokus stavila 4 glavne teme: poučavanje i učenje putem video zapisa, izazovi nastave u sadašnjem kontekstu i objektivno ocjenjivanje znanja;&nbsp;utjecaj sudjelovanja u međunarodnim projektima na nastavni proces i osobni razvoj te razvoj mekih vještina (emocionalna inteligencija, komunikacija, timski rad, mindfulness, prevladavanje stresa i tjeskobe). Brojni znanstvenici, učitelji, nastavnici i profesori iz Hrvatske, Slovenije, Češke, Finske, Engleske, Portugala, Španjolske, Rumunjske, Italije, Grčke, Argentine i drugih zemalja,&nbsp;izlagali su svoje primjere dobre prakse i raspravljali o načinima poučavanja i potrebnim vještinama koje učenici trebaju steći tijekom obrazovanja kako bi postali spremni za suočavanje&nbsp;s&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;izazovima 21. stoljeća. Tijekom konferencije predstavljene su obrazovne smjernice&nbsp;i&nbsp;faze&nbsp;u&nbsp;poučavanju i učenju tijekom online nastave kao i o provođenju alternativnih načina objektivnog vrednovanja znanja. Raspravljalo se o&nbsp;izazovima&nbsp;koje donose sudjelovanja u međunarodnim projektima a koja zasigurno utječu na povećanje motivacije za učenjem. Introduction Project aims to innovatively develop and implement education programs for sustainable development through the development of competences and active participation of students in the field of sustainable development while strengthening the partnership between schools and local communities in raising awareness of sustainable development. The activities will encourage students to act and initiate actions aimed at achieving SDGs and sustainable society in its entirety. A series of educational, practical and creative activities and methods of innovative and experiential learning will raise the level of knowledge, awareness and skills for the adoption of green lifestyle in accordance with sustainable development. Informing the public and media about the importance of the topic as well as project implementation, will promote project activities, the importance of sustainable development, environmental and nature care and environmental action, all with the aim of developing a sustainable community.

Naši su projektni partneri iz Armenije, 7. lipnja posjetili selo Margahovit u regiji Lorisusreli. Na stručnu ekskurziju išli su sa zamjenikom ravnatelja H. Umrshatyanom i učiteljicom H. Khachikyanom անդամ. U selu Margahovit nalazi se ATP centar za okoliš. Prije nekoliko godina taj je centar osnovala obitelj Ohanyan iz Bostona.&nbsp;

Učenici su sudjelovali u ekološkoj edukaciji koju je organizirao centar, uz vodstvo brižne i obrazovane trenerice, gospođe Gayane. Prošetali su parkom koji je kreirala organizacija, upoznali se s nizom biljaka i drveća upisanih u Crvenu knjigu na rubu izumiranja u Armeniji.&nbsp;Dobivši zanimljive i bogate informacije o prirodi i njenom pravilnom korištenju, učenici su obećali da će postati pokretačka snaga očuvanja okoliša i pozitivnih promjena u svojoj zajednici.

The students of&nbsp;Industrial Engineering School made a plastic shredder and contributed to the goals of sustainable development through a series of collaborative activities. The concept of sustainable development implies the process of striking a balance between economic, social and environmental requirements, in order to ensure that "the needs of the present generation are met, without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". From 1987, when it was defined in this way in the Report of the World Commission on Environment and Development until today, sustainable development has become one of the key elements in formulating and implementing development policies in the world. The operationalization of the concept and its application in practice are the result of both theoretical and political aspirations aimed at ensuring the long-term development of human society without disturbing the balance in the environment. Why should the goals of sustainable development be taught in every kindergarten and school? Children and young people need to learn about the world they live in and need to be active participants to be inspired to take concrete action. Children from kindergarten to high school were involved in the collection of plastic waste, its shredding, melting and pouring into molds to make recycled pendants, from the Radost Kindergarten, the Žuti Brijeg Primary School, the Ivan Mažuranić Student Home and Industrial engineering schools. Sustainable development requires waste management in accordance with the principles of environmental protection, social acceptability and economy. It can be considered a general consensus that waste should be avoided first, and the circular economy is a model of production and consumption that includes sharing, lending, reusing, repairing, recovering and recycling existing products and materials for as long as possible to create added and lasting value. product. In this way, the life of the product is extended and at the same time the amount of waste is reduced. The circular economy can help alleviate two key problems - resource scarcity and climate change. The UN Action Plan with 17 goals is the first global agreement for the sustainable development and preservation of our planet. 17 individual goals were adopted, but they are interrelated. For example, we cannot fight poverty if we do not also fight climate change, which affects global food supplies. If waste is well managed, waste becomes a very valuable source of raw materials. The most desirable option is actually to stop generating waste, and when that is not possible, other acceptable choices include reuse, recycling and recovery, while disposal is the least acceptable method of waste management. Unavoidable waste should be reused as much as possible with balanced environmental and economic conditions. For this purpose, it is especially important to collect it separately (by species) at the place of its origin, with a dual purpose: • separation of usable part (paper, glass, cardboard, biowaste, plastic, etc.) with the aim of recycling, ie recovery, and • separation of hazardous waste (oils, batteries, medicines, chemicals, etc.) for the purpose of detoxification and recycling / recovery. Separate collection and recycling / recovery of waste avoids disposal and thus non-utilization of many useful ingredients, because separately collected types of waste are easily used as raw materials for obtaining new products. This reduces environmental pollution and especially saves energy. In addition, separate collection and recycling / recovery of waste provides other economic benefits, such as reduced imports of secondary raw materials, reduced disposal costs, etc. Given the fact that the generation of plastic waste cannot be completely avoided and given the plastic waste that is collected separately at the Industrial School of Mechanical Engineering (ISS), it is not surprising that ISS students showed interest in making a plastic crusher. The purpose of this device is to shred plastic waste so that the granulate needed to produce recycled plastic items can be made from shredded plastic. ISŠ students do not yet have an injector that transforms plastic granules into liquid state by bringing heat so that recycled useful objects can be made by pouring them into molds, but they have excellent cooperation with the Ivan Mažuranić Student Dormitory, whose employees Ivana Šepetavec and Petar Ćurko with their valuable a team of students gladly accepted the invitation to cooperate and made recycled plastic pendants. Plastic waste was not only collected at ISŠ, but also by children and employees of the Kindergarten "Radost" thanks to the director Vesna Marić who is always happy to respond to activities in which children and their parents actively contribute to the concept of sustainable development and its application in practice. Veljko Kordić, the director of the Žuti brijeg primary school, is of the same opinion, and his students are also involved in collaborative activities that contribute to the goals of sustainable development. Children and young people involved in collaborative activities learned about the world in which they live through concrete action, and recycled plastic pendants will be a great reminder of a successful activity. All the described collaborative activities are a small but important contribution to understanding the concept of sustainable development because the goals of sustainable development are a navigation system for achieving the future we want. They serve as a compass that marks our direction and offer us a map and indicators to measure our progress to ensure the long-term development of human society without upsetting the balance in the environment.

At the 1st scientific-professional conference on the topic "Entrepreneurial mindset as a prerequisite for increasing mobility and competitiveness on the labor market by developing key competencies for lifelong learning, social entrepreneurship and socially responsible behavior", held on July 1, 2022, organized by the Education Agency and The Council of the City District of Gornja Dubrava, the teachers of the Industrial Engineering School Iva Bojčić and Kristinka Lemaić participated as lecturers with a presentation on the topic "International eTwinning project as a form of development of students' key competencies". In their presentation, the teachers showed how the students of the Industrial Engineering School develop their key competencies by participating in the international eTwinning project "The green cdhangemakers". The teachers also showed the participants of the Conference examples of connecting eTwinning with professional skills, which earned the School the Status of the first secondary school of ekoLutioners and the Green Skills Award 2022. The goal of the Conference was to empower experts and exchange experiences related to understanding the importance of entrepreneurial thinking and developing entrepreneurship competencies, social responsibility, social entrepreneurship in order to increase mobility and competitiveness on the labor market, especially related to NEET groups. A number of lecturers from the City Office for Education, Sports and Youth and primary and secondary schools as well as colleges and non-profit organizations took part in the work of the Conference.

To mark Earth Day on 22 April, we would like to draw attention to the importance of promoting peace, justice and human rights among people, as they are essential for sustainable development. We want to encourage all young people to pray, support, promote justice and peace to which they are entitled in their human dignity. Send a message of peace and love, be in solidarity with those whose rights have been violated! Students of the Vukovar Gymnasium made digital posters in the Canva application, with the desire to remind that war never brings anything good and that every person has the right to a peaceful and stable life. The posters were displayed in the school hall with a box in which students inserted their prayers, messages of support and occasional quotes that they researched on the Internet. By their action, they showed love and solidarity with the current situation in the world and those whose rights have been violated.

Their students took an active part in the final round of the "Resist Climate Change" schoolchildren competition organized within the framework of the UNDP / CSF program "National Adaptation Program for Advancing Medium-Term, Long-Term Adaptation Planning in Armenia". The 3 students of the school who showed the best results in the competition (Meline Mardoyan, Milena Navoyan, Meri Davityan) and teacher Hasmik Umrshatyan participated in the seminar "Let's face climate change from idea to implementation". On Earth Day, April 22, on the YouTube channel of the srednja.hr portal, a video conference was held dedicated to sustainability, but also to the opportunities that sustainable development opens to young people. The srednja.hr portal hosted leading experts who inspired us, but also learned more about this important topic. Recognitions were also given for the best eco-projects of schools from Croatia, and among them was the eco-project of our School&nbsp;<a href="http://ss-industrijska-strojarska-zg.skole.hr/?news_id=1058#mod_news">"Collaborative activities for eco-pendants"</a>. We are the first high school ekoLucionar and we are infinitely proud. Participation in the eTwinning project "The green changemakers" encouraged us to collaborate on activities that have led to the creation of eco-pendants with which we make a small but important green shift. Climate change and sustainability are important topics, but also one we often hear about bad news and even worse predictions for the future. For those who care about ecology, and especially young people, such news often causes feelings of anxiety and helplessness. Therefore, in order to start a dialogue on this topic and to show reasons for optimism, we have made progress, the portal srednja.hr launched the&nbsp;project ecoLucija 101: Introduction to the ecological revolution. The project partners are the&nbsp;Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Office of the European Parliament in Croatia. On Earth Day,&nbsp;April 22, the portal srednja.hr held a video conference of the same name, which hosted partners and friends of the project, interesting experts who spoke about good examples from practice and the future that awaits us if we do not take climate challenges seriously. This way of tracking the Sun light gives us the opportunity to increase the percentage of using the Sun energy which is stored in a power bank for later use and distribution of electricity to the city lights.
