by Sarah Smith

We are proud to welcome you to The Leigh Institute, designed to provide a comprehensive professional development offer to schools and partner organisations. Drawing together its four founding organisations, we seek to resource our partners with a complete offer of professional development, recognising that the work of our staff is vital to the success of our schools and businesses.
The Leigh Institute brings together the work of the following organisations; enhancing their offer by ensuring opportunities for collaboration and mutual support

  • KMT (Kent & Medway Training)
  • Thames Gateway Teaching School
  • Kent & Medway Maths Hub
  • LAT Apprenticeships

By aligning these four fantastic offers we will together shape a research-informed professional development offer, which meets all the emerging needs of our sector.   Our shared ambition for all our learners is underpinned by a relentless focus on mutual support and collaboration.  This enables all our partners to access an offer they can trust, providing pathways for the success of all their staff as they deliver outstanding outcomes for their learners.

We look forward to continuing to work with you and building strong collaborative links across our region and beyond.
