I have allergies My family is concerned&nbsp; We move to America I miss my home When will my family ever go back? I meet a doctor She thinks in different ways than others Now I can eat many things And have a happier life So glad that I came to America

Accepted Tested, tried, and persevered But things didn't work out the first time Not everything always goes your way There was a lump in my throat Tested, tried, and persevered Again the next year But still things did not go our way I had to try harder and get smarter We joined the community The lump in my throat hurt more Tested, tried, and persevered I tried my best BOOM!&nbsp; I was dancing&nbsp; and my heart was full of joy The lump in my throat disappeared Tested,&nbsp; Tried, and persevered

I start the piano Pressing the first few keys So different from the violin that brushes the bow and trumpets that blow out notes from the air This instrument is hard! My mother says it’ll be all fine But I still worry What if I can’t do it? I finish learning what the keys are And I start having fun&nbsp; A grand piano arrived Big and beautiful My mother once said You can do it It’ll be alright She is right

Sweet dreams In my dreams, I imagine myself flying&nbsp; Over the vast blue oceans The wind blowing across my wings Playing catch with the birds in the sky Gliding to happiness Scary dreams A ghost appears in my room at midnight As scary as a thief Scraping and jumping on everything Like a one year old baby Happily watching invisible TV on our couch Dangles from my roof and then disappears Like a magical magician hiding his cards My family asked everyone except me, “Who made the mess?” Each of them was sleeping at midnight The ghost came every night until I told my family&nbsp; That ghost was never seen again Animal dreams My puffin, Muffin, and zebra, Febra, came alive while I was 😴 sleeping&nbsp; and had a conversation When I made a sound,&nbsp; they quickly wrapped themselves, got into a sleeping position and made fake snores.💤

He bustles towards their muscles Blissfully hissing around suspiciously Ready to be steady, he finds a shedding teddy Activates his stripes for an activity of amazing mazes

Before I knew the wonderful doors books could open, I didn’t like to read outside of my comfortable zone. Piggy and Gerald was an all-time favorite. It was funny, it had pictures, and I could easily read the quotes. But then, things started to change. In Kindergarten, at Trinity school, I read a comic book with my reading partner. There were many pictures and only a few words which was encouraging. When I was done with that one, I read more books and fell in love with reading. I gradually started to read books with mostly words. The words painted pictures in my brain so I no longer needed the illustrator to draw them. Wings of Fire is a special book to me because the characters are mostly dragons and the genre is my favorite, adventure.&nbsp;

Wings of Fire I enter the world of dragons Dragons whooshing by&nbsp; And chasing one another Fighting to be the next queen Some terrifyingly dangerous and mysterious Some lazy as a sloth Then I slip out of the world of dragons And inside on my bed Thoughts of the book still floating&nbsp; in my head
