Education For Peace and Prosperity: Modern Boarding Secondary School









The history of MODERN begins in 2050 B.S. (1993 A.D.) with the motto’ ’Education for Peace and Prosperity. Since then, thousands of students graduated; and 1670 students are taking education now, is making a tremendous effort to materialize the motto by providing a profound learning experience to the students in a safe and calm environment. It always promoted the national-international culture, community learning, good collaboration, and individual-based learning.       

It is a contemporary, activist, and careful learning center where students prepare to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century, which is well known for the exposure of children to a wide range of good cultures and ample opportunity to practice individual potential through various curricular and extra-curricular activities.   

It is marching ahead with its vision of enhancing the capacity of individuals and believes in grooming each individual as a globally aware and locally acting citizen through community learning, practice-based activities, and collaboration. It offers a generous platform to students to explore through social members and parents as well as involve them in international societies to promote their understanding of the world.

Modern believes that learning should be lifelong and life-making. It should be positively impactful for society, community, and the world, at the same time, learning is to continue as a passion to explore beyond. Hence, Modern encourages the research full learning and linking of life skills in every learning objective. For this, professional development of teachers and updating teaching-learning are taken care of to promote diverse teaching-learning.

Modern is committed to developing multi-dimensions for every child in a safe environment. So it is always concerned to maintain physical, psychological, cognitive, and environmental safety in teaching-learning.

Shading light on the visible gain of MODERN, it has been successful in achieving excellent results in SLC/S.E.E. and NEB/HSEB Annual exams. MODERN has got Board 7th and 9th in SLC 2061 and District First and Third securing 92.25% and 91.5% among boys in 2064. It has been awarded National Education Award by Nepal Government 2086, 2069, and 2070 BS.

MODERN has been successful to bag 100% results in SLC with Distinction and First Division since 2060 and Grade A+, A, and B+ since 2072 to the date. Modern has become successful to be Top Ten School in Nepal (Kantipur, Nepal Magazine, Saptahik).

We believe that 21-century education needs to offer programs that can foster every potentiality of the child, enhance creativity and critical thinking so that s/he can adjust in the world by solving the existing problems; and make the world a better place to live. Besides, acculturation, the spirit to work in a group, and an equilibrium mindset can make a child a quality citizen who contributes to the national and international societies.

We are assured that our venture to promote every child to shine as the pride of the nation and dignity of the world as a total human, well-skilled professional, dynamic leader, cultured spirit, the epitome of right conduct, and practitioner of peace and justice will continue full-fledged. Hence, a multidimensional international curriculum, collaborative platform, activities in the classroom in the inclusive environment, and community learning are our priority and commitment.
