Oltre i dogmi:
Infine cadevano a sasso e paf!’’

Beyond the dogma:
Oriana Fallaci and the research of the truth:
This is a fragment of his last article published by the Corriere della Sera, entitled: "The enemy we treat as a friend". The Florentine writer tried to shake the West, which appeared blind to danger. His crusade had begun after the attacks of September 11, 2001 in the United States. In the Fallaci’s sight, it is first of all Europe to dig his own grave. ~ I was a piece of ice. ~ My brain was also ice. I don’t even remember if I saw something on the first tower or on the second. People who, for example, would jump out of the windows of the eightieth or ninetieth floors in order not to burn to death. They would break the windows, they would climb over them, they would jump down like you jump off a plane with your parachute on them, and they would come down so slowly. Waving their legs and arms, swimming in the air. Yes, they seemed to swim in the air. And they never came. Towards the thirtieth floor, however, they were accelerating. They were gesturing in despair, I suppose repentant, almost shouting help-help-help. And maybe they really shouted it. Finally they fell to stone and paf! '' (La rabbia e l'orgoglio, 29-09-2001) Fallaci criticizes the green light for the construction

of mosques on the basis of "integration lies, the farce of pluriculturalism". The myth to dispel, as mentioned above, is the one of a "Moderate Islam". The writer wants to expose the attempt to make us believe that the enemy is made up of a small minority and that the small minority lives in distant countries. The 'The enemy is not a small minority but we have it at home... It is an enemy that at a glance does not seem an enemy. Without a beard, dressed Western, with a residence permit... For this we do not fear him and "treat him as a friend" but actually hates us and despises us. This enemy turns mosques into terrorist training camps and barracks. Islam is the Koran and the Koran is incompatible with freedom, Democracy, Human Rights and the Concept of Civilization. '' A good part of the responsibility for the loss of orientation of the West is attributed to the indulgence that the Catholic Church professes against Islam, continuing to highlight the common heritage among the three great monotheistic religions: Christian, Jewish and Islamic. For the writer there is no common heritage since Allah has nothing in common with the God of Christianity who preaches love and forgiveness, who sees men as children unlike Allah who
considers them as subjects; a God who in the Koran calls dogs-infidels those who believed in another God and punished them with death. " I have seen Muslims whose life is worth less than a cow or a camel" writes a very young Oriana in her first report on the condition of women in Islamic countries. " There are women in the world who even today live behind the thick fog of a veil as if they were through the bars of a prison." A prison that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean: it is the world of Islam, where despite the "ferments of rebellion" the rules reserved for women have been immolated for centuries. Today, because of the Western disaster in Afghanistan, there is a great deal of talk about the need to establish a dialogue with the Taliban, while Fallaci, in all likelihood, would have rejected any hypothesis on this and perhaps would have been scandalized by the manner of withdrawal, as well as for the abandonment of that people.
