We have, at Reid Street, had a focus on empathy for some time. Our pupils have been introduced to the Global Goals and their associated characters, including Ekani Empathy.
So when we heard about Empathy Week we were very keen to be involved. We loved the videos we saw during the week which introduced us to five amazing people and gave us much to discuss around resilience and diversity.
Express Yourself North East is the only festival of its kind in the UK and is a public celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity in a forward thinking, internationally connected region.
So we linked our work around these two brilliant events and this book has all of our projects.
